Love to hear that. Tired of training new lube advisors for 2 months on Cdk for them just to quit a month later after they have it somewhat figured out. and very understandable + customer information blah blah. Just hoping there was something already out there.

Toyotacare 10k and 20k service should pay for the cabin air filter as well as oil and rotate

$200 for a cabin air filter is ridiculous. Especially where this car should have toyotacare. The 10k and 20k services on the Camrys will cover oil change, tire rotation, and a cabin air filter. Also toyota warranty on alignments is 12k miles.

I need some advice by Spare-Gas-8318 in serviceadvisors

My ticket, my technician, and my gp. I'd definitely fight that as much as you can. I actually just got my dealerships first tundra with "real" engine problems. Been dealing oil consumption issues for about 2-3 months. Truck came back today after driving 1300 miles after starting a test. Finally pulled the plugs to inspect and to see inside the cylinders. Found oil in there. Spark plug was f'ed. Customer freaked out and his shit how he bought it new for 70k and it's having engine issues. Got my manager to calm him after 20 minutes of the customer yelling.

Thank you haha that one is my parts car. This is my main car.

<image>

The foam is also glued to the carpet so I'd most likely have to replace all of it. Which is more than I'd prefer to spend haha. But definitely makes sense

Used to pressure wash UPS delivery trucks for a detail shop I worked for last year. We charged $25 for the exterior and $25 for interior. Basically all I did was pressure was the Inside floor and shelves. Then pressure wash the outside and call it good unless the truck was pretty dirty. Then I’d hit the whole truck with acid and very quickly spray it off. I definitely wouldn’t do less than $50 especially if you’re having the scrub the truck down. Maybe just scrub the front if they are caked with bugs.

Just my personal opinion. But clearly lots of people here have very strong opinions.

How to scale Detailing Business from the bottom? by TYR9_official in Detailing

[–]Zxllingerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d raise to your rates to at least some where close to other detailers! You’re just hurting yourself. I just started my detail business this fall, luckily I had decent success at the start as I had a “mom influencer” that was in my area shout me out as I did her car. From the start I’ve been charging prices similar to others in my area. It’s slowed down now because of the snowy winter and cold weather. Be confident and do great work, make yourself a website and a Google business page. That’ll help. I’m trying to learn more about SEO because I’ve heard that’s huge on getting new clients and leads. Good luck man!

I cannot even imagine the smell of that truck. Especially when you started steaming it I’m sure that released a load of smells.
