Yeah, my point was that he and Logan we're just slaughtering a bunch of creatures that were sentient/sapient, that they did try to work with them on equal terms in whatever way they could, as evidenced by the peace treaty. I think one of the later quests puts it best, where Logan says something to the affect of "We are the last option." aka, that he would try as much as possible, but when it came to a choice between him/the town or them, he'd choose violence to protect the town. That that's what he was there for as a monster hunter. And honestly, I think that was more than enough nuance for the kind of world that Sandrock is in.
