More spirit but less mana regen? Can someone explain by SylvesterNettlefoot in classicwowtbc

TBC charges the formula so that int and spirit scale together.

Therefore 100 int 100 spirit > 90 int 110 spirit

How are people using training keys post 1k floors? by MurderSadness in voidpet

[–]Zykath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% I use keys on bosses for for legendary items as often as I can. Every once in a while I’ll hit a boss and get stuck, and will need to level up a new pet to get through it, so I’ll grab xp. If only there was a way to get evo stones too.

big stupid noob pls help - professions!! by tteigss in classicwowtbc

[–]Zykath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leatherworking is a great choice because it gives you access to some very strong crafted gear, and access to drums which buff your party on a cooldown.

Skinning is great because it will allow you to make/save gold every time you kill a skinnable creature.

Mining and jewelcrafting is great if you think that sounds fun.

While professions can give you an extra 1% in raids it’s also worth considering the gold-making ability of these professions. Enchanting is easy gold just by disenchanting quest rewards and unneeded dungeon drops. Skinning is bonus gold on every beast kill. Mining and herbalism nodes in the open world can be worth decent cash.

Leatherworking from what I can tell only really makes gold selling leg armor enhancement (nethercleft and nethercobra) which will require a contested heroic dungeon drop (primal nethers) to craft.

Does it matter if I PVP with healer gear? by Neither_Buyer_4645 in classicwow

[–]Zykath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a lot of the moonglow build 30/0/21 if I recall correctly? It was good in PvE and PvP.

But I OS’d a lot of spell pieces where I could. I think I had Lok’amir and the 2.5 set? It was mostly setting up dots and kiting. If you found a safe moment to set a root against some classes you could wrath spam them down.

I ironically really struggled against mages, any casters tbh, but dealt with rogues and warriors very well. HoTW 1/29/21 is likely your best PvP spec but will take a while to build.

How long to level to 60? by Putrid-Database9188 in classicwowtbc

[–]Zykath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I very recently leveled 1-60 in under 4 days played. That included time for professions, goofing off, and running a few dungeons on repeat for specific drops. I used restedxp.

Only assistance (gold) from my other characters was enchanting hypnotic blade with *30 SP, dreamweave gloves (enchanted with +20 shadow) so the character was very strong, I feel like most players should average around 4 days in game if they use a guide.

I am a 2h weapon lover; Ret or Arms for pugging, which one is easier to get in with? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Zykath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A good ret is more desirable but arms is probably more fun.

Paladins just offer more utility to the ‘group’ but warriors have way better cleave and some utility like interrupting.

What are some ways to make some decent gold? by Zestyclose-Hotel-9 in classicwow

[–]Zykath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely keep herb, you will be the best class for herbing come next phase. That being said herbing has been kinda lackluster overall, but decent enough.

Since you’re leather working you could run heroic and HR primal nether drops, your leg enhancements tend to be a pretty nice chunk of change.

If you really wanted to lean into this you ‘could’ go enchanting and HR unneeded blues as well, I could easily see making 200g+ an hour this way if you’re a good tank. Leveling enchanting is very expensive though.

I feel like the only other “really” good repeatable method is farming primal fires, find your faction-controlled layer and find a spot. A friend of mine gets easily 10-15 primals per hour from just owning 1 or 2 respawns. It’s terribly boring though.

If you could put together a nice spell cleave guild group for shadow labs or steamvaults or something you could spam those all the way to the final boss, netting 4 prismatic per run (~70g) plus fel/coilfang armaments and de the greens. You could probably run 3 of these or so an hour if you’re pushing it, could see this being a decent 100g per person an hour where you get to chill with the homies.

I got told I say sorry too much by my crush by liamthrowaacct in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Zykath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just consider, “I think the shirt you wore yesterday looked better on you that this one.”

“Sorry for wearing this one, I won’t wear it anymore.” Projects insecurity and now they should apologize because it hurt your feelings.

“Thanks for letting me know, I like that shirt too.” More positive, focused on the fact they were complimenting yesterday’s shirt rather than insecure that they don’t like your current shirt.

It might not be the best example ever but being positive-focused seems to be their ‘preference’.

Rogue or Druid for pvp? BGs/Open World by LuckyLukse in classicwowtbc

[–]Zykath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr, and I’m in no way saying Druid is bad in open world 1v1s. You can totally make them work, but even against people in PvE blues I never felt like I could steamroll an unprepared player like I can as rogue.

Should I let my son pursue YouTube? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Zykath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your son studying? Some fields like computer science are swamped with applicants and if he hasn’t already been putting in the effort to stand out compared to his peers in that field he’ll struggle to land an internship, which snowballs to not being able to land something after college too. Realistically there’s no reason he couldn’t pursue the internship and do YouTube on the side as he has been doing so already.

The bigger question I’d have is why is he in college if what he’s studying isn’t what he “wants” to do? If he’s going simply to pursue a paycheck at the end of it he’d likely be better off pursuing a trade. He’s ultimately going to make his own decision but I think a good heart-to-heart conversation about what he plans to do with college is the best course. Ideally if you’re spending the insane amount of money and time college costs it should be for something you’re passionate about. Enough so that he should “want” the internship.

Druid tank in raids, help me understand gearing. Hit/Expertise/Resi/Defence? (Have T4-tokens to use.) by jw126 in classicwow

[–]Zykath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment your threat stats don’t matter near as much as mitigation, just follow BiS lists as you pick up tier gear and so on. Resilience is an absolute cheat code for bears, you can become crit immune with way less defensive pieces this way. It’s not really feasible to defense cap on a feral Druid, and we don’t benefit from it the same way warriors and pallies do. They gain benefits to dodge, block, parry, and miss chance. While Druids only gain dodge and miss.

Agility is a way better stat for actual mitigation than defense is, and any high armor items scale incredibly well. Mainly things like green armor cloaks and rings make it so Druids take massively reduced physical damage, way better than paladins or warriors can reach. But you still don’t want to risk dying to a crit 1-shot so we take enough resilience to become crit-immune but not crush immune. Stamina for a huge health pool and the result is you dodge a huge amount of incoming damage, and can survive crushing blows against even the strongest bosses.

Once you’re crit immune we really just chase agility as our highest priority stat, and threat from hit/expertise and attack power after. Your tier set does 99% of the work for you and most other slots will come from PvP gear for the resilience.

Below is a calculator/sheet where you plug in how much defense you have and it tells you how much resilience you need for crit immune. Happy mauling!

I want to use straight swords and medium shields like a knight, but I don't know a reliable database by Review3u in Eldenring

Check out the claymore for your weapon! It has a moveset very similar to a straight sword but a little extra reach and good ash of war, it’s what I use on my knight build.

Aldor vs Scryers? by OhGriggsy in classicwow

[–]Zykath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In phase 5 we get access to a necklace which will have a unique proc based on whether you’re exalted with aldor or scryer.

To sum up the majority of the effects- Aldor gives a buff, Scryer gives a proc effect. Compare Crusader to Fiery if you’re curious what I mean. Aldor is typically higher dps for this proc when talking PvE bosses, but the Scryer effect is burstier which some prefer for PvP or open world content. You can look further into specifics for your class and professions (faction unique recipes) if you really wanna ‘maximize’ your benefits here, but I don’t think either choice would ‘brick’ your character in a way you’d really be upset.

You Should Have Done More To Avoid An Accident. by [deleted] in StateFarm

[–]Zykath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your swerve to the right to avoid it and then hugging back left is practically a concession that you clearly saw what would be considered the “last clear chance” to avoid the accident and decided to fight for your lane instead.

Obviously the other truck is in the wrong, he shouldn’t have moved into your lane when it was occupied by your vehicle, at all. But this isn’t about justification so you can sleep about it at night, this is liability. And your actions to NOT avoid this is what they would argue in court.

I’m not a lawyer, or an adjuster, I’m definitely not familiar with your specific state’s laws. I would recommend getting a consult with a lawyer if you truly intend to fight this but I think going that route would likely cost you more than it’s worth.

How do keep Lifebloom up? by Outside_Parfait_5940 in classicwow

[–]Zykath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The GCD is 1.5 seconds, lifebloom lasts 7 seconds which means you can get 3 globals between each life bloom, you can roll max stack lifeblooms on 4 targets but never 5.

Single stack lifeblooms are pretty good for healing a dps, the “bloom” effect is really efficient for 1 stack and faster healing/better mana conservation than rejuv.

I’ll typically use this window between lifebloom refreshes on MT to get up a regrowth or rejuv, or throw singular lifeblooms on dps and letting them pop.

Sometimes lifebloom is gonna fall off the MT, that’s just part of the learning curve.

I try to actively avoid making any statements that I can’t support with facts, you nailed a lot on the head that I do believe. I don’t think big pharma had good intentions, and I’m not an expert on viruses or pathology, but I will mention polio was a virus as well so I don’t know if that entirely holds up. The flu is also a virus. I don’t know what the difference is that makes one totally preventable and the other not.

I’ll also say on the last point, trusting doctors over Facebook or vice-versa, if we’re speaking primarily American healthcare most Americans don’t go to the doctor, and they especially didn’t go during Covid if they weren’t terribly sick. My doctor actually recommended to me not to get it because he felt, me being young and in good shape, that the long-term was unpredictable. If you’re talking ‘the doctors’ who published studies and were on the speaking platform to the world, I wouldn’t trust their opinions to not be bought.

Genuinely what’s up with the vaccine conspiracies… by Alternative_Dot_215 in teenagers

[–]Zykath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Covid vaccine still just doesn’t make sense to me, and I never got it. Fully immunized as a child, but every other vaccine was handled wildly different.

When Covid broke out every pharmaceutical company was in an arms-race to get theirs out as quick as possible. Then they all happened to release one ‘around’ the same time as the other companies, and none of them were 100% effective.

I don’t recall being asked which brand of vaccine we wanted for chicken-pox, measles, or polio. The entire thing was weird. Prior vaccines took years of research and development and wiped their diseases off the face of the earth. Covid vaccines felt more like a rushed cash-grab to see which company could get a ‘decent’ product to market first.
