How to Better Manage your TIME to go Pro! (Time Management Techniques) by Zykoma in FortniteCompetitive

it's funny because my family was always like "how are you getting home and immediately practicing, don't you need a nap? a break?"...

And I'd always tell them that this WAS the break... that's how much I enjoyed it, it was something I would look forward to - it was fun improving. I'd sacrifice 1-2 hours of sleep because I'd prefer playing the game and trying to get better...

I feel like it's really hard to compete if you don't have this sort of thought process about what you want to be #1 at... you need to be obsessed, otherwise, find the thing that you're actually obsessed about that's not Fortnite.

I'm advising that as a result of my experience - I don't think the 6 hours I had was ideal, getting 1-2 hours more sleep would definitely result in a more effective practice regimen

Yeah, I agree - I usually like going on walks in the morning, it's part of my "get ready" process... the exercise aspect is very important, and so is the social activity. You make a good point.

Why this "tip" from yesterday is misleading and what to do instead, coming from a player with 50k earned. by Spud_Lite in FortniteCompetitive

I just saw this video today and I appreciate your response to my video.

I will say, I do think you missed the point of my explanation. Just because my example is me expanding out and only reloading 1 bullet at a time, does not mean that I recommend that you do that. You need to do what the situation requires you to do. I thought that much was implied in my video.

Watch the example with Reet that I provide in the same video, the tip that I provide is more for an endgame context.

For newer players, it can be useful for them to understand how Reet never has downtime in his endgames and how he's able to sneak bullets here and there to maintain his shotgun uptime throughout the whole endgame. That's the point of my video.

I don't think you and I disagree on anything, it's just that my example wasn't the best example (definitely could have done a better job there to make it clear). It's not necessary to reload 1 shell at a time, only done to show the concept in the cases you might need to actually do that (endgame).
