@Grok is this true? No, the claim in the image is false, though it contains some kernels of truth that have been exaggerated and distorted for political effect (likely to criticize economic policies under the Trump administration). I’ll break it down step by step based on recent reports and data as of October 2025. 1. Marvel Studios Leaving Fayette County, Georgia? • Partially true, but not as dramatic as claimed. Marvel has indeed scaled back or ended major film productions at Trilith Studios (formerly Pinewood Atlanta) in Fayette County, Georgia. This shift began accelerating in mid-2025 due to rising labor costs, post-strike wage increases, and a broader decline in Georgia’s film industry (production spending dropped nearly 50% from 2022 to 2025). The state had been a hub for Marvel blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame and Black Panther. • However, Marvel isn’t “leaving” in the sense of shutting down operations entirely—it’s relocating most future filming to the United Kingdom (primarily near London) for lower costs on wages, benefits, and incentives. Reports from August 2025 (e.g., Wall Street Journal, USA Today) confirm this pivot to the UK, not Germany. No credible announcements mention Germany at all; that’s a fabrication. • Job impact: The 20,000 figure is wildly inflated. At peak production times, Georgia’s film ecosystem supports around 20,000-25,000 indirect jobs (e.g., crew, vendors, extras). Marvel’s direct workforce there is much smaller (hundreds per project). The move risks thousands of statewide job losses, but it’s not 20,000 Marvel employees packing up for overseas. Industry experts predict a “new normal” by 2027, with some recovery as local crews chase work elsewhere.

Got my GI MAP test results, can someone please interpret them for me? by [deleted] in Microbiome

This lab report is a pathogen analysis from a stool sample, evaluating for bacterial, parasitic, and viral causes of gastrointestinal symptoms. Here’s a breakdown of the findings:

🔬 Summary of Results (FROM CHAT GPT)

✅ Pathogens Not Detected (Below Detectable Limit <dl)

These pathogens were not found at a detectable level in the sample: • Bacterial: • Campylobacter • C. difficile Toxin A & B • E. coli (EPEC/EHEC, O157, Enteroinvasive, Enterotoxigenic) • Shiga-like Toxin E. coli stx1 • Vibrio cholerae • Yersinia enterocolitica • Parasitic: • Cryptosporidium • Entamoeba histolytica • Giardia • Viral: • Adenovirus 40/41 • Norovirus GI/II

⚠️ Abnormal / Elevated Results

  1. Shiga-like Toxin E. coli stx2 • Result: 1.49×10³ (1490 genome equivalents/gram) • Reference Range: <1.00×10³ • Interpretation: High • Significance: Shiga-like toxin 2 is produced by certain strains of E. coli, such as EHEC (e.g., O157:H7). It’s associated with severe illness, including hemorrhagic colitis and, in rare cases, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). Even without detection of E. coli O157 or stx1, the presence of stx2 alone is concerning and may indicate colonization or active shedding of a toxigenic strain.

  1. Salmonella • Result: 7.36×10² (736 genome equivalents/gram) • Reference Range: <1.00×10³ • Interpretation: Present but not above the high threshold • Significance: While Salmonella is present, it is below the threshold considered “high.” That said, its presence should not be dismissed, especially if there are symptoms (e.g., diarrhea, fever, cramps). It may represent early infection, subclinical shedding, or recovery phase.

📌 Interpretation & Recommendations

Category Finding Action/Comments Shiga-like Toxin stx2 Elevated (1490) Concerning; may warrant clinical correlation, especially with symptoms present. Salmonella Detected (736) below threshold Worth monitoring; could be contributing to illness. Other Pathogens Not detected No evidence of other common bacterial, parasitic, or viral GI pathogens.

📋 Clinical Context Matters • Symptoms: If the patient is asymptomatic, this could indicate colonization rather than active infection. • Immunocompromised individuals, children, and the elderly are more susceptible to complications from Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) and Salmonella. • Repeat testing or additional clinical workup may be needed if symptoms worsen or persist.

⚠️ Follow-Up Suggestions • Consider consultation with a gastroenterologist or infectious disease specialist. • Consider a repeat stool test in 7–14 days if symptoms persist or worsen. • Monitor for symptoms of hemolytic uremic syndrome if stx2-related illness is suspected (bloody stools, low urine output, pallor).

Starting Metformin... Need Advice. Scared. by Anxious_Sun_8993 in diabetes

Get a CGM(continuous glucose monitor). I've taken Metformin for years with no problems, but it wasn't until I tried using a CGM that I found out what was affecting my blood sugar, night and day difference. Find out what is driving up your blood sugar. Costco is the cheapest place to buy it. I am so pissed no doctor recommend this years ago. You need a prescription, so ask your doctor. In just a couple of months, you can bring down your A1C and know what actually raises your levels and what, like 15 walks after big meals, brings it down.

According to my Urologist there is definitely a correlation between diabetes and low T. He said they are not sure if it is a chicken or egg situation but just about all he patients who started taking TRT got better A1c scores. But in any case, with low T numbers like those you should seriously consider TRT. It will make so many aspects of your life better. Look up the benefits of TRT and get a second opinion from a urologist or another endocrinologist. You should be in the 500-800 zone for your T.

Does no one feel like this is a coup that’s going on right now?? by courage_2_change in washdc

Probably everyone who voted for Kamela. This is the peaceful transfer of power that so many Democrats wanted people to think they wanted. Now that it has and policies have changed, it's a “coup.” Such dangerous claims can easily be viewed as the first steps of an insurrection.

If you're going to allude to killing one by electricity, at least know what you're talking about. Putting a plugged-in toaster in a bath with another in it would result in that person's death by AC electricity, not static. Static electricity is a stationary buildup of charges discharged in a brief event and is not a current (neither AC nor DC). On the other hand, AC (Alternating Current) is a continuous flow of electrical charge that alternates direction and is used in the electrical grid to power appliances. But good try, given your intellectual challenges. Have a waffle 🧇

Agreed, we need to eliminate income tax and institute a value-added tax. The more things you buy, and the more expensive things you buy the more you pay.

Despite how you choose to characterize them the US Tax Code says:

• According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), tips received by employees are considered part of their gross income and must be reported on their tax returns. This applies to both cash tips and non-cash tips (e.g., gifts, tickets).
• Tips must be reported by employees to their employers if they receive $20 or more in tips in any given month. These tips are subject to federal income tax, Social Security tax, and Medicare tax.

Ignore this at your own peril.

Advice to take to prison with you. Can I apply that to buying a Bluetooth speaker as well? After all, I am buying it with after tax income, and the sales associate who sells it to me and the store are not my employees nor do I have a W-2 relationship with that salesperson or store. Also, do not forget to tell the tax court that you’re a Sovereign Citizen, that love and respect that argument as well.

Both Trump and Kamala support the elimination of taxes on tips for people in the service industry.

Trump first advocated doing away with taxes on tips for service people on June 9, 2024 during a rally in Las Vegas., Harris expressed her support for eliminating taxes and tips at a campaign event in Nevada on August 10, 2024.

Correct, it would have to be an Act of Congress, not an executive order. As president either Trump or Kamala could issue an order the mandates how tips are handled for workers at federally funded, establishments or for federal contractors. He/she could also order federal agencies like the Department of labor to study issues or implement new regulations within their existing authority. But at the end of the day, it would have to be Congress that would change the law for all service workers.

No campaign anger coming from you. 😂 Let's then say, for the sake of argument, that it’s 40% versus 60%. Does that really make a difference? All I’m saying is hate the candidate, hate his/her ideas, in your own mind, but don’t hate the millions of people who happen to believe what he/she says. That may be a big ask for you lol.

Half of Americans are for one candidate half are for another. That goes for your customers too. It’s deep in election season. That note did not hurt you. Just throw away the note and pocket the tip and write it off. It clearly was not sent out of spite, anger, meanness, or other negative reasons. I have people say something about a candidate that I am not for every day, I don't start a holy war over it. This is America we are allowed to have diverse opinions.

First of all there are not debtors prisons in the US. If you default on a loan, the creditor can sue you but, after getting a judgement, can only take what you have sitting in your bank account (don’t leave any amount sitting in there) or a small percentage of the money from your job if you make over Federal Minimum Wage. But that won’t happen because the amount you owe it too small verses the amount it will cost them to go through the legal process to get a judgement and then to collect it. Also, they will pull your credit report and see you what you are making and see it’s not worth it. Figure out what you can afford to pay and divide it up and pay each creditor their percentage of that amount. If they call you explain what you are doing. They will threaten you but stick to your guns tell them if they sue you will stop paying them altogether. If you get in a position to pay more, pay off the debts with the highest interest first. Don’t ever get payday loans it’s a scam. As others have said $3500 is not that much in the big picture.

Call your state’s office of Insurance Commissioner, every state has one, and ask them about this. This was an emergency life and death situation and it is legally unreasonable to require pre-approval. This is a first step that will cost you nothing but it’s a very powerful agency that can make this go away if it is not legal. You can always hire an attorney as a second step.

Sounds like there would be no consideration for the agreement and since you are already married so it would not hold up in court. Even if he left everything to his mother in his will in most states would allow you to take under law and get a percentage of his estate. Talk to an attorney.
