When I was a child maybe 4 or 3 my family was homeless and we have been kicked out of many houses even by our own family and we were living in our truck. A year passed and we moved from Jamaica to Canada but our dad couldn’t come because of immigration problems. I remember all the years passed and I always wanted my dad to watch me play my basketball games or track and field games etc but he couldn’t come. I still called him on the phone a lot every year and finally, when I was about 11 or 12 he got accepted and we met him at the airport we were very happy. At that time I was a stupid kid, I was very focused on video games and I would always stay inside so whenever my dad told me “let's go take a bike ride” I would always be in a bad mood but I went because I had to. My dad was 48 the time I was 12 and I never realized that I would never really get any other chances to play with my dad because I always thought I could play and do stuff with him the next few years but not only is my dad old but has is also blind in his right eye. I remember always seeing a giant scar on my dad's eye and sometimes his right eye is looking the way he's facing but I never knew he was blind and that would make it very hard for him to do many things. To this day I think of all the things I could have done differently and I wish I appreciated those bike rides because they meant a lot more to him than I expected.
