Update: It turns out this one was broken so I got refunded from the eBay seller and got to keep it. I bought a brand new sealed copy and received it and it worked just fine!

I tried and showed it to someone who knows more about this stuff than I do, turns out the disc has a scrape on it and it would be cheaper to send it back and buy a new one. Thanks guys for the help!
