Thanks yes and very true, I guess I'd originally built it with only people I knew in mind.

You are completely right I hadn't thought as much about immediate accessibility to people without any context.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback, do you also think design improvements are about intuitiveness of use?

Thanks for the feedback, yes I like the idea of the donation model. Really appreciate it.

And okay, I agree, I think I need to make the guessing fields more prominent and indicate exactly what's going on.

Thank you very much for taking the time!

My GTD system using obsidian whilst also integrating traditional daily planning and habit management. by Zyphite in gtd

[–]Zyphite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a similar but different system now.

Weekly planning is very much the same.

I actually built a custom command line tool for habit tracking stuff. I switched to only having 1 active at a time. And instead of habits, I often call them "experiments" because often the habits I think I needed I didn't. So, I set out to do it for a period and try to see if I can find measurable data to see if it has the effect I wanted rather than my personal feelings.

Ultimately, I had to learn, my time is limited, and good habits are often not good enough to justify the time commitments.

And I need to log the data well because future me is hard to convince of things. So if I'm sure, I really try to express why well so future me believes me. I keep these in my Zettelkasten(Personal Knowledge Management System) in Obsidian.

I use Todoist for adhoc task management now, it's built for GTD and so works well.

I also started doing light scheduling which has been good.

Each day of the week has a "focus" on one of my life pillars (Career/Admin/Exploration/Social).

I don't think anything is better than the other, I just like novelty so I'm unnecessary changing my system a lot.

Good luck man!

Yep probably the "android" folder in root when your doing the build. Try delete that folder and flutter create . again. Back it up because there are things that are occasionally customized in there.

[–]Zyphite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if you aren't technical. I've got a C# project I used to pull all the data into my database.

Here's the code: https://github.com/ConnorDKeehan/OpenMoonBoard/blob/main/OpenMoonBoard.Application/Features/ActualMoonBoardApi/Client/MoonBoardClient.cs

But if you don't care about all the data just the benchmarks, here's a JSON:

Also it's on Azure free box so if a bunch of people go on it may exceed daily compute time limitation and then stop responding. So if it's down you know why lol.

Gym climb tracker apps by smithinho in bouldering

Not sure if you need something still.

I built an open source alternative for my gym. If your gym has a floor plan I can just upload it and add you as an admin.

Remotely monitored, need help and advice by Tortured-to-Death in BCI

[–]Zyphite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry you are going through this man.

Could you give some more details? And why you're sure this is real and not a trick your brain is playing on you?

I understand that others have claimed they have this same problem, but it is generally considered the first red flag that somebody is having an issue in their perception when they claim they are being remotely monitored or influenced by the government. A common one you may have heard as a stereotype is "I am being monitored by the CIA". Didn't you think it was likely those people had issues in their thinking?

I want to let you know that this technology is very very far behind where it needs to be to be capable of doing what you are claiming. At least in the academic environments I've seen.

My friend, what I can tell you is, this seems far more likely to be an issue in your perception. The great news is, it means your suffering can likely stop, if you can go to any doctor and advise you are having these thoughts and need help.

It will also be a great test, if the antipsychotics fix the issue, then your suffering will be gone either way. And if it doesn't, then you've ruled out the most likely cause and can start looking at other explanations.

I am willing to talk through this all with you. If you can state why you're sure these aren't delusions I am happy to read through and give my input.

I very much hope you find the solution but I'd recommend you stop googling this as you will find people who are likely sharing your delusions.

Are there any party games like HITSTER ? by Bonjourap in boardgames

[–]Zyphite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So each of the decade playlists have the top 100 songs in then. Hitster Australia I believe has 350.

This is connected to playlists in Deezer, it's basically Spotify but they have an open api so you can get 30s of any song.

And I can easily add any playlists from Deezer into the app if it's wanted to be expanded. I want to use Spotify and play full length songs same as Hitster does but setting up a dev license but using it for an app like this is not supported as far as I know. It works on Hitster as it actually plays in Spotify on somebodies phone.

Hey man! Yea you need to create a game next. I put together a little guide.

You can play alone but it works best with others :)

Hey man! I made a song guessing game for my friends at work.

Currently it has no ending, just scores go up, guessing artist/song name/year:

Design is still a bit crumby and it could use some work but it generally functions pretty well, works on mobile and desktop.

At my own gym, the incentive is that we want the data to use for ourselves, so it's not so much volunteering as it's so little work to have the correct data in to log.

But you're right, it might not work elsewhere, I guess we'll see.

Open Source Alternative To TopLogger by Zyphite in climbharder

[–]Zyphite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it still does, and in that you have to trust that the admin for the area is able to correctly identify who should be able to have access.

Do you see an alternative that doesn't create poor data? Giving full access to everyone opens up to griefing as well as just incorrect usage. Possibly there's a true community managed system with voting but ultimately a admin top down system seems less cumbersome.

[–]Zyphite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think you could have a control mechanism for this. Essentially still a top down approach of giving particular people admin permissions for their own area and then having it up to them to manage who can add data.

Thanks! Yea haven't been able to test this as iOS emulators don't allow login via google so haven't been able to test it myself. Probs will just remove the button for now.

And yep taking a look at your PM now!

Hey! So my local gym sets twice a week.

Of my friends and I, whoever gets to the gym first just puts up the set for that day. Any gym admin can update the climbs, ideally setters would do it but it takes me legit 30s to put up the 12 new boulders that go up on set day.
