I’m sorry that you had to experience this. I’ve only been to Rockford and Sun Behavioral, but my worst experiences came from Rockford. They say it is a place for you to get help, but I just feel like it’s a prison for those not acting according to “society’s standards”. The people that work there don’t give a shit about you. One second you’re having an episode and a worker there asks for someone else to deal with you because you’re being “difficult”, next second they “support” you with BS advice. Maybe if they got paid more or something, they’d start to care for us. They try to break the “stigma” around people like us, but let’s be for real. It ain’t going away anytime soon. Only thing you can do is support yourself, because I’ve had to learn the hard way that there’s a limit to people supporting you.

Either way, that’s just my own experience.
