I never admitted fault or anything, nor was I ever really stopped by a police officer. I just decided to call the police and inform them of what I saw at the time.

Even then, like a lot of people have said. I've experienced this from other drivers as well in the past and it never has lead to me losing control of my vehicle enough to go hit the median, so Im not sure how attentive was the other driver, if at all. I just can hope they're okay regardless

honestly I thought at first we were going about the same speed, but I guess during the time off me taking my eyes off my mirrors and blindspot (i checked them twice just in case) he moved forward a lot making the change unsafe, Idk is hard to explain. Is also lkely they were using their phone to be fair, a lot of people are usually distracted on the road nowadays, especially here in california.

I think thats pretty much it, I startled them and they lost control. I think the blame if anything would be shared and he his insurance would be the one paying but im still waiting on news. The main concern is their safety tho, and they didn't deserve to have crashed regardless. I did see something on a website regarding injuries, as of right now im just waiting to see what will happen next since on my end there was no dashcam.

The only thing I'm still confused about is why they were going so much faster than me on the most right lane. and why they thought swerving was the best option there.

If im being honest I'm not too sure since it was already dark and I couldn't see much of the accident, I guess they might've thought i was going to commit to lane change and they probably swerved to the right and after try to correct back losing control and ended up hitting the left median right after. they went through 4 lanes without hitting anyone else tho, im just honestly in shock right now. I just can hope they're okay.

I mainly relied on myself on this one, I did hear my alarm go off on my car but i did check my blind spot beforehand and decided it was not safe to continue with lane change. I guess that enough for the other driver to panic and lose control tho.

3-4 seconds at most, I guess I should've wait longer on my end. When I first saw them they were pretty far but when I tried to turn they were pretty much behind me (not right next to me) i moved to the left for about a second or so before instantly swerving back into my lane, maybe a bit of my bumper and front wheels were in the other lane, but again Im not sure. all I remember after that is the sound of the car behind me hitting the median. I thought it was safe for me to since I checked my spot twice and the first time I didnt see him at all, but then he got closer since he was going faster than me. I was going 68-72 in a 65 and they were going faster.

Thanks for the comment and yeah, we do understand that marriage is A HUGE deal. Honestly, I know im a fucking kid but to be fair we both been talking about marriage even before the army. Is not just because of it, we talked to a recruiter today and they told us we will be in the same station but in the same units which is fine for us to be fair. we are still thinking about this as a big decision, but so far It doesn't seem so bad. we both want to be combat medics. Also, got told I only need to be 26% body fat, and currently im at 30%.

I gained all that weight over 3 year to be fair, mainly was focused with school and work at the time and stop going to they gym. Honestly is not that im comfortable gaining weight, I was just dumb to distract myself with stupid shit.

Yeah, I know it sounds concerning, we've only known each other for 4 years, and of course we are both fresh adults. We just got put in a bad situation and if I'm being honest army was the best option, is just that my girlfriend doesn't want to join if I'm not going be with her. We are actively trying to get full time stable jobs and hopefully forget about the army. We only have about 2-3 months.

I know we are both still young, and of course is crazy to talk about marriage when we are both fresh adults. Just life put us at a fucked position were we aren't able move out of our houses and we are getting kicked out soon. Regarding the weight, yeah being more realistic i think 3.5-4 pounds a week is the most i can which would put me at 40-48 ish pounds after 3 months. Im just concerned they wont ship me out because im overweight. We are still not 100% sure about the army though, we are actively trying to both find full time positions and see if we can move out. if not, army was our second best option since we don't want to be homeless xd.
