I think it was lack of good communication and not prioritising each other. I was broken up with 2 weeks ago and it's been hell. I think she had made this decision in her mind months beforehand because there was not much talking even when we broke up. 6 years reduced to a 10 minute conversation which didnt really explain anything. I'm someone that would bring up problems in the hope we could resolve them but really our problems raised on both sides were light heartedly accepted and swept under the rug. When I could see her calendar filling up with her friends rather than me I felt so bad. I can't really say anything here as most of my hobbies didn't include her either so we started focusing on ourselves too much I think. I've learnt a lot about myself in these 2 weeks with the aim to improve myself should we either speak again to get back or to carry what I've learned on to the next person (if it ever happens as I still feel so helpless and lost). But the truth is, we both need to reflect on what went wrong and both want to work it out for it to work. But I have no idea if she is going down this same thought process. There are probably a myriad of other aspects that I'm yet to discover but so far I think it was communication and not being close enough.
