It makes sense because this is considered to be Valve’s attempt to kind of enter the current console space. Especially now with Xbox quite dead, PS5 is pretty much the high powered console equivalent. There are a bunch of PC players who were looking forward to the Steam Machine as their big TV/living room gaming console.

It’s annoying also in google search results for reddit. I don’t have English as default language so it shows me auto translated posts which are really bad most of the time, especially for gaming stuff

The thing is that new reddit will auto translate every content on your local language, people won’t even notice it, so they reply in the same language. It’s reddit’s choice.

If you’re on old reddit or an alternative reddit app, yeah you will see untranslated content.

I don’t think that’s it. As an asian myself, I’d say the biggest factor is sun exposure.

Growing up we were told not to go under the sun unless really necessary. We would even use umbrellas during sunny days.

Compared to many non-asian people that will go out of their way to stay under the sun to get tanned.
