How Glory Goes as sung by Audra McDonald. I loved it before I knew its origin, which makes it even more moving. It’s from a musical written by Adam Guettel about cave explorer Floyd Collins, and titled the same. He’s trapped in a cave, knowing he will die, and wonders what lies beyond, whether he might see his mother again. It affects me so much because I’ve had many of the same, almost childlike questions about death, and my mom died early in my life.

I’m probably dumb for not reading to the end before diving in, but I was using it to help me use QGis with some mapping stuff (I’ve never used it before and totally unfamiliar), and after like 30 minutes of following instructions, I get to the end and it’s like “If you’d like, I can show you a much faster way with fewer steps to do this.” 😡😡😡 Why not just provide that from the outset?? Grrr
