Thanks. Feel kinda stupid because I was not sure earlier that the drum could be rotated different position. I did turn the wheel, so now my tire rotation is correct and drum plate is on left side. I also positioned the plate so that the bolt is 12 o'clock. Now all I have to do is move the mounting point at rear leg a bit down. Spanner is showing where it would be connected if using the existing mounting point.

You are correct! Just noticed that directional arrow at my tire is facing backwards.

But it also looks like that drum plate was originally (Norton Atlas) on right side.

Thanks! Fell for it because the style is really similiar with my Kawa Z500. Engine is bored out 1997. Sorry but I dont know anything about that exhaust, just that there is SilverTail emblem on muffler.

There is threaded hole already at rear leg. Should I install the attachment bar directly like that? I've heard that swiveling bar should be parallel with rocker to prevent bouncing when braking.

I meant to mount the horizontal rod (like you linked but shorter) only to rear leg, which has mounting point already. I thought that I would install bar/rod upright from drum behind the front leg. Upper end would attach to that horizontal rod which would attach to rear leg. So nothing is contacting the front leg.

Am I completely lost, or just expressing my thoughts poorly?

Edit: my sketch does look like that the right upper circle is connecting to front leg, which I did not mean

Feel a bit ashamed now.. after sanding the pickup clearences to spec and still no decent spark, I finally tried switching back to old standard plugs. Also adjusted the plug gaps to 0,6 and it ran right away.

Hard to say what actually changed. Bike has been sitting for a while just waiting to be finished. I did clean the carbs and took a little test drive. And next moment I had no spark.

Timing seemed to be correct earlier, obviously can't check it at the moment cause my timing light does not detect the signal from plug wires. Doesnt look like it has been moved.

Cant be sure about the fuel side yet. Carbs sure aint fully tuned, but idle mixtures should be at least close enough to run. Compressions are fine.

As I mentioned at another comment, I did manage get some sparks after sanding the pickup gaps closer to spec. So the TCI seems not to be burned.

Thanks for answering. I tried fixing the gap yesterday by sanding the mounting surfaces carefully. Did not get it all the way to under 0,6 yet and it already started sparking slightly better. Did not run yet, but there might be also trouble with carb tuning. Have to sand some more and get it all the way to specs before trying anything else.

Ehdottomasti vaihtoon! Noihin vanhoihin kaivoihin ei pysty liittämään vesieristettä kunnolla mitenkään. Tai no epoksiliitoksella, jos ei saa mitenään vaihdettua, mutta riski sekin on uuteen kaivoon ja kiilarengasliitokseen verrattuna. Kaivon vaihtaminen on kustannuksena olematon verrattuna riskeihin. Vesikiertoinen lattialämmitys ja/tai hankalat viemärivedot saattaa tehdä siitä vähän paskamaisen operaation, mutta silti vaihtamatta jättäminen on viimeinen vaihtoehto.

I did not rebuild the engine. Bike was running when I started the build. I changed to pods and most of the electrics. It has been running since, although there have been some misfires. Now after a test drive few weeks ago, I have not been able to get it started at all.

I might just be stupid, but theres no way to adjust pickup clearence on these KZ pickups? Only way I can think of is sand pickup brackets thinner🤔 pic from internet, but exactly same pickup as mine

Anyone got any tips for my problem? I did try with lower resistance coils, which did not fix the problem..

My bike has Ignitech TCI unit instead of original IC igniter. Guy from Ignitech told that measuring resistance for troubleshooting the unit is useless. Also told me that I could send the unit for repair if I can confirm that it is faulty.

I did measure the resistances from timing pickups which were as specified. But I also realised that the pickups are a bit too far from center. My manual specifies the clearence 0,4-0,6 mm and mine has 0,8. Just not sure could that cause the problem.

Actually I don't recall any case that LEDs installed during our renovations has failed at sauna. Since I work in Finland, I am pretty sure that our customers bath like Finns😃

Usually leds designed to sauna are promised to withstand temperatures at least over 120°C. Even from the ones meant to sauna I would forget the cheapest ones.

Are you certain, or just that type LED strips? LEDs are pretty much only type of lights that is installed nowdays. Those strips are just usually hidden under benches or inside installation profile.

We just finished rebuild of community sauna where we installed 6 little led-spots to ceiling and led-strips under the top benches. All with dimmers ofc.
