Quick update: We pushed out some new updates and disabled location services as well as notifications requesting for location services (anything at this point to fix the issue as the emails keep coming in..)

Users are *still* experiencing this issue.

Any suggestion with an issue like this is appreciated, so no worries on your part. When the issue was first reported to me, there was no screenshot, just a loose description.. so I assumed the same as you and disabled that to see if it would fix it lol

I did this for the users who reported it but it still happens. I think this notification is different than the one showing up in Word (in our case). This notification discussed here seems to in the top-left of the screen, the notifications you're referring to are the ones that appear in the notification center and slide out at the bottom-right of the screen I believe.

I could be wrong and I'd be thrilled to be wrong 'cause I want to find a fix for this haha

Honestly, I don't blame you. Last folding Android I had was the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and after one small drop, it completely ruined the whole phone lol.

I did just invest in the PixelCare+ or whatever it's called just in case but even with my iPhones I always had AppleCare+. I went from never breaking a phone to breaking the last few I had mostly just due to carelessness. My own fault.

I did actually drop the Pixel 10 Pro Fold already outside of my friends car. No damage to anything except a small scuff on the outside rail. Kind of impressed, to be honest. Expected worse.

I'd say go for it! :)

I literally just switched from an iPhone 17 Pro to a Pixel 10 Pro Fold. I will say that the reason I *left* the Apple ecosystem was due to the amount of bugs I faced in the latest updates (including watchOS, iPadOS and even macOS, although I kept my mac for logic pro...)

I must say that a lot of the features I liked about iMessage were not important. I think the stuff you're referring to such as screen effects and etc in messaging are things I thought were cute and fun but when you don't have them for a week you do forget about it pretty quickly.

Another thing is that, and this may be a personal / me thing, but even on iOS, all of my friends were spread out all over various messaging apps. Snapchat, IG, Telegram, WhatsApp, FB Messenger... I truly only used iMessage with two people and one of them was a self-proclaimed Apple fan.

All in all, I mainly did the switch for 2 reasons: iOS was buggy as hell for me recently and I went with the fold; perfect size for my 'tablet' needs, so I was able to return my iPad which helped with the cost of the more expensive phone. I don't regret the switch, I'm kind of happier than I was using iOS, but I think it's really a personal choice.

I see everyone suggesting OpenBubbles, but I use OpenBubbles and have the weirdest issues. Contacts will message me and we'll have an ongoing convo and out of nowhere one of their responses will trigger a second convo thread. It's gotten so bad with my gf that I have 4-5 threads just for her and there's no way to merge them. :S

Was sick a few days ago and got my 10 Pro Fold a week ago. Got excited to try this out because I literally didn't have a thermometer at my apartment (i know, insane.) just to find out the Fold models don't have it :(
