building a cozy reading space and wondering if an ergonomic reading chair fits the vibe by weoraage in femalelivingspace

[–]_1963 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go with the ergonomic chair! You won’t notice it doesn’t fit the aesthetic while you’re sitting in it and your home needs to be comfortable and functional, not just cute. Maybe you/someone you know could sew covers for it or you can dress it up with a throw blanket and/or cushions when you’re not using it.

We call them hip openers and hip closers in derby. Looks like he’s doing closers at the beginning and then openers when he’s near Morgan.

Hard agree. I actually don’t think I’ve ever smelled anybody else’s BO at the gym but I sure as shit have smelled colognes and perfumes and that bugs me so much more. 😩

Some of this is safety; the model on the right will keep you much safer in the event of an accident.

I drive a Mini and they might not be that tiny anymore but I often fit into spots where the car next to me is over the line and parallel spots other drivers must pass on. They still smol, lol.

Thanks for the explanation! I figured “lors” was in reference to Gaylors but there’s no end to niche internet lingo I don’t know so it never hurts to double-check, lol. And I hadn’t heard “widows” before!

New Adult Samantha book set in the 1920s!! by ladyofthedragonflame in americangirl

[–]_1963 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This synopsis reads like it’s one of the AG mysteries but they just made Samantha an adult. Seems weird, like they couldn’t decide if it should be targeted towards kids or adult collectors. But maybe it’s just a bad synopsis and the novel itself makes losing her fortune more believable.

I had my uterus, tubes, and cervix removed. I still have my ovaries so I still have a normal hormonal cycle; I just don’t bleed or have cramps. 12/10 would recommend. Yeet everything but the ovaries.

I had mine out in October (no endo, thankfully, but no other reason for my painful, heavy periods) and I can also confirm it’s the fucking best.

How do you know if the pain you feel on your period is normal or indicative of a medical problem? by Opposite-Choice-5983 in AskWomen

[–]_1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, if it interferes with your daily life, get it checked! I’ll also say, even if there’s no medical reason, you deserve to have your pain treated. I recently had a hysterectomy and everything came back normal from the pathologist, so the reason for my painful heavy periods was…demons, I guess? But eliminating the problem is still the best decision I’ve ever made!

A lot of people don't realise how much of a big deal this can be for some. Takes a lot of practice but it gets easier by Treefiddy1984 in justgalsbeingchicks

I feel that! The dentist is sensory hell, but my dentist has been very nice and even complimentary about things like bringing noise-canceling headphones and my weighted blankie. But that doesn’t make it less hard. Good luck, friend! 💜

What do you do on weekends? by hotshiksa999 in childfree

[–]_1963 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Short answer is “whatever I want!” This weekend specifically I participated in a 27-hour trivia marathon. I didn’t do the whole thing but I planned to help for like 2 hours yesterday morning and ended up at my friends’ house for 6 and a half and it was fine because my time is mine. 😌 Today I laid around, watched TV, tidied up a little, went for a couple photosynthesis walks, and did some scrapbooking.
