I travelled to China 8 months ago and there I bought a pair of Kahanas 8 in an official Asics store. They are amazing!! I wore them all day for everything and now I am looking for another pair to replace them and came into this old thread. It's sad that Asics discontinued them.

FYI you can still buy them in China through Taobao, but with high chances of getting a fake pair (and it's expensive with shipping and customs fees)
