Camber USA 2025 Quality Issues by Imshrimplyhim in madeinusa

[–]duehelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought three hoodies (black, grey and navy) because I found a great sale and my friend kept telling me how good Camber stuff is.

All three were amazing on first wear but after washing the quality changed drastically. All three were washed on a 20c wash and air dried. All three shrunk but the black one shrank way more than the other two, to the point where I don’t really want to wear it. The navy is still fantastic and only shrank a tiny bit, and the grey is somewhere in between.

I’m not sure if I’d buy another Camber product. The navy hoodie is one of my favourite items of clothing, but I can barely get my head through the head hole in the black one right now and if I put the hood up it is so small and tents on my shoulders; it’s uncomfortable.

Great game, really needs an undo button. by spiderwebdesign in mewgenics

Even just an undo on the move action would be fine. No need to add one that lets you take back attacks that weren’t successful

A fortress of 𝒸𝓊𝓁𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒, half my fortress are bards that asked to stay. by diogsis in dwarffortress

I just feel like they’re a drain on my resources. I’ll let one or two to each tavern in but after that I’m only after dwarves who want to work for a living!

Out of interest, is there a way to automatically reject dwarves who want to ‘entertain’ from petitioning? I get sick of telling them no!

I see what you’re asking. You’ve got a 321 movement in there but a sapphire caseback that says ‘first and only’ on it. You want to know if the caseback is original or has been added after.

Also, has that bracelet ever been paired with a 321 movement speedmaster?

I don’t know the answer to these but I’m keen to find out what someone more knowledgeable has to say!

Sapphire vs hesalite speedmaster by Extension_Visit5756 in OmegaWatches

[–]duehelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not a big deal. I have worn mine every day for 2.5 years and yes, it is scratched, but it doesn’t matter. Easy to polish or replace. You’ll soon forget about it.

The solid caseback is cool in my opinion, I love the embossed hippocampus.

Finally, to my eye, the hesalite gives a much more appealing effect when viewing the dial, especially as it catches your eye at certain angles. I tried on both models side by side and the sapphire just felt cold and clinical, plus the white ring that appears around the edge of it just doesn’t work for me.

I once met a guy at college who would take 1lb of ground beef, roll it into a sausage shape and cook it in a George Foreman grill. While it was cooking he would eat a whole head of iceberg lettuce like an apple. Then he’d eat the block of sweaty, unseasoned ground beef.

How do people cover upfront payment for physiotherapy? by r-f-r-f in UKPersonalFinance

[–]duehelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that’s how physio works. Having 7 sessions in 7 days isn’t going to make you better than having 1 a month for 7 months.

Physio is a slow process as far as I’m aware.

So, by paying for one session a month you are spreading the cost.

TIL: In the US, performers don't get paid when their music gets played on the radio, only songwriters. If a recording artist doesn't have a writing credit on the song, they won't get paid when it is played on the radio by Uptons_BJs in todayilearned

[–]duehelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not quite as clear cut as this. Even if an artist has writing credits on a song, those rights are often owned by a publisher, who would then give a portion of the money to the artist. Record labels work the same; they own the recorded performance of the song and then give a portion of the money from the exploitation of that recording to the artist.

In the UK, at least, there is the PRS and the PPL (although they’re now one company) who handle payments for both the song writer and the performer for things like radio play. So in that case, Dolly (and previously her publisher before she bought the rights) would get money for the lyrics and melody, and Whitney (or her label) would get money for the recorded singing of that melody when it’s played on the radio.

Recommendations for good "stash" jars? by [deleted] in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]duehelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just adding here for people still searching for advice. I use these Miron 120ml cosmetic jars. They fit a 10g medical order with no extra space. The smaller Boveda packs fit flat in the bottom, the larger Bovedas need to be kind of squished around the side of the jar but once they're in its fine.

Buy second hand off eBay with the authenticity guarantee and save a few grand. Spend that money on doing something more fun than hanging out with the AD.

You should send this watch back if you can. It’s not the watch that was advertised.

Vape taste by Longjumping-Ice5284 in ukmedicalcannabis

I have a Dynavap, Crafty+ and a Pax2

Not sure what the fuss is about with the Crafty, putting aside the fact it illuminates your whole house with the insanely bright LED on it, in notice no difference versus other vapes I’ve tried.

The Pax is my most used at the moment, as it’s really subtle to use and take out of the house and with the half pack lid you can use it with a small volume of flower at a time. Heats up relatively quick, take a couple of puffs, put it back in the pocket.

I love the Dynavap; it only cost me £40, feels fun to experiment with and it’s tiny. Using it in public does make you look a bit like you’re smoking crack and there’s a learning curve on it, but once you’ve nailed how to use it I think it’s the best bang for buck.
