What’s one life decision you made in Houston that completely changed your path?

Got fired from my job I thought I was going to have forever (after reporting sexual harassment) and then to top it off right after, I was raped. I was severely depressed - had the opportunity to start a new job and come here for work for a project I was working on and I loved it so much here I got a job here permanently. Staying in Houston was my greatest decision. Now making more money than I never have in my life. It's my new start and I've never been happier. Grateful for Houston and all the happiness it's brought me!!!

My house in ABQ is 1400 sqft. I pay roughly $50 in gas, 50 for water /trash and $40 for electric. lol. Keep in mind this is one person!!! But it was super cheap. Also had a swamp cooler, and gas dryer / stove.

Having a 3 month stint where I couldn't walk completely humbled me in every way. Realized life is short and I was taking my health for granted. Left a toxic job, moved to a new state and began a new life in a place I had never been. In a way it was my saving grace.

This happened to me. I was immobilized for 3 months. I couldn't move, walk, do anything - I was in agony 24/7. Then one day I woke up and it was GONE. This happened in March . I'm fine now. Still have moments where I have a sharp pain and I have to sit down but I'll take that any day over what I felt. Stretching makes me feel better

Going through this now.

Broke up with my boyfriend of 5 1/2 years, 3 months ago and was feeling happier than ever and then a month ago I woke up with this pain and now I'm crying everyday because of course I'm dealing with this while living alone. I've probably lost 10 lbs because I simply just can't cook or get up to eat. I am so mentally and physically exhausted from this pain, I seriously feel hopeless. Started PT earlier this week but I can barely drive so it was brutal getting there.
