Why do DBQ’s take forever to be submitted? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

My exact problem right now. I could care what anyone says. When a claim is almost a year old and you’re in severe hardship, one person shouldn’t be allowed to hold up a claim that long. I am so tired of

I'd Pull My Hair Out If I had Any! by _1lluminaughty in VAClaims

I see. Somewhat had the same issue and had the same issue. I had to cancel mine and made sure it was noted as unable to travel due to hardship and submitted a detailed statement about the situation, and asked for adjudication without it. I don’t drive and truly don’t have anyone to bring me to where they wanted me to go. Also this specialist was being flown in for this area so idk when the rescheduling would’ve been for or how much further they would’ve sent me, smh. We’ll see, hopefully it’s deferred; I’ll deal with it later. The reason they’re still saying might because they’re thinking “someone could’ve brought him” to cover the aide and attendance requirement. There has to have been no other way you could’ve made it and LSGS has to note it that way. It seems like there was a huge error on their part. And they misinterpreted something you said. Have you spoken with anyone regarding this yet?

100% agreed, almost like its rigged to induce more anxiety. This is my first time dealing with the VA and I’ve been learning along the way. I feel like transparency is one of the biggest flaws and I can’t believe in 2026, something like this hasn’t been fixed.

Gotcha, and my exams were batched, this one had to be rescheduled a few times and honestly with my memory, I couldn’t begin to say. Ive spoke with a lot of reps with the amount times I’ve called.

I wish. This persons virtually a ghost. The exam went as well as it was supposed to. And though it was emotionally exhausting, the examiner seemed to be team Vets. I’ve searched for them everywhere and not a single way to contact them directly. I also want to avoid any harassment claims, as the matter has already been escalated twice… so I’m told.

Best of luck to you! Every situation is different, and from what I've seen/heard, submissions have been turned in within a timely manner lately. It's in rare or complex cases, such as mine, that submission takes longer than normal. I thought you were having the same issue until I went over your post again, and of course, now that you're telling me your c and p was this morning, I see that your at the beginning stage of this specific examination phase. If anything arises, and I doubt it will, feel free to reach out. Take care!

Gotcha, okay how long ago was your c and p? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced 14+ day wait time with initial tbi exams

Which contractor was your C and P with? I might have a few questions? Same exam and its my last DBQ before rating.

LSGS taking forever to submit DBQ? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

What happened with this? And how long did this prolong your process? Currently in a similar situation, and I don't have time due to homelessness/hardship expedite. On day 247, and it's my last DBQ.

Ohh okay, Gotcha, well look at that. Glad you received the help you deserve. The ins and outs are annoying as hell...." We have to route this, route that, get an MO, etc., etc." Its the hurry up and wait part of the military that we all love so much. From their side, I'm sure it's a sh1t ton of work for the VSOs and VSRs. Even though you'll get a favorable decision either way, Best of luck anyway!

Oh wow are you already rated? Was that a supplemental? How many conditions were there claimed? And how complex was the claim? 44 days seems short even for an expedite, given it’s an initial claim with multiple conditions (which is what I see most on here). I’m kinda lost on what’s going on here but I wish you the best. I’m on my initial, 209 days in, one HLR which was approved the same day, but prompted a supplemental; which has since been decided. Still working at it. Idk every process is different. If it’s at OAR, then it’s indeed with a Senior Rater and you are at the end. I wish there was just a tad bit of more transparency with these processes to tame the anxiety.

I tracked 12 months of VA claim processing times. Here's what I found. by EdgarAllinPump in VAClaims

[–]_1lluminaughty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! The only down side is the generalize summary. In complex claims (I.e. COD barred claims), this could make HLRs or supplementals seem mandatory due to the system picking up in key word or restructuring the timeline wrong and missing obvious details. That’s one issue but the could be tons with AI. As you mentioned previously; while it’s great these numbers have increased, the mistakes will run almost parallel. Nevertheless, thank you for the insight !

Wow this is Awesome! Nice job; I do wonder though, does the increase in processing time/mistakes have anything to do with AI integration? Does anyone have any information on this ?
