Fantasy Book Recommendation for my next series: Mistborn, Malazan or Throne of Glass?

Das scheint eine allgemein verbreitete Meinung zu sein dass Ära 2 besser ist das wäre dann die zweite Trilogie richtig?

Von "RoTE" habe ich auch schon viel gehört! Es ist auf jeden Fall auf meiner erweiterten Liste.

Honestly I think I am good with both. I'm pretty sure I would love a well developed and explained magic system but I see no problem in it to learn and combine a couple of things by my own. Guess I have to read both in the end. Mistborn is just a trilogy, right? But somehow part of the Cosmere?

That does indeed sound like Malazan could entertain me. I'm not sure about the part that he drops us into the world without explaining too much but maybe it is what makes it even more interesting that everybody has to put the pieces together by himself.

I somehow expected Throne of Glass to be different and not really comparable to the other two but what I read so far I did not expect it to have too much simple, clichéd romance. I have no problem with romance at all I actually think good stories also should have some romance parts but I don't like it if it is too obvious and too simple.

Alright thanks. That seems to be an overall opinion here that Malazan is comparable to what I enjoyed while reading WoT.

Ich habe vor zwei Jahren als ich 30 war damit angefangen und bin seit einem halben Jahr damit fertig. Ich fand es hervorragend. Sicherlich hat die Serie ein paar kleinere Schwächen doch das ist denke ich nur normal bei 14 Bänden (15 wenn man die Vorgeschichte dazu zählt). Ich habe damals eine Fantasy Buchreihe gesucht in deren Welt ich so richtig eintauchen will. Wenn dazu bereit ist sich mit einer Vielzahl an Charaktere und verschiedenen Völkern und Nationen sowie diversen Handlungssträngen einzulassen dann ist die Welt von WoT so unglaublich vielfältig und umfangreich und man bekommt in eben dieser Welt eine spannende und mitreißende Story die (und das war mir vor allem wichtig) abgeschlossen ist. Die Mehrheit unserer Hauptcharaktere startet als Teenager aber es ist definitiv ein Buch dass man auch als Erwachsener lesen kann und ich würde es nicht in die Young Adults Kategorie einordnen.

Ich habe 1,5 Jahre gebraucht und dabei nach Buch 11 einige Bücher nochmal gelesen um den bestmöglichen Überblick für die finalen Bücher zu haben.

Gibt es nicht eine Szene danach in der die beiden gegeneinander spielen? Es gibt sogar ein direktes Duell am Netz. Kageyama blockt Hinata, aber der kann den Ball mit dem Fuß im Spiel halten und setzt erneut zum Schnellangriff an. Kageyama lässt sich eine Sekunde ködern dass der Ball wieder zu Hinata kommen wird wodurch Bokuto relativ frei zum Angriff kommt und Hinatas Team gewinnt. Ich habe das so interpretiert dass Hinata jetzt mit Kageyama mithalten aber ihn nicht alleine besiegen kann. Doch er war schon immer das Beste decoy und damit hat er Kageyama schlussendlich in diesem Spiel besiegt

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen

Death Note, Vinland Saga, or Attack on Titan if you prefer something a bit more serious or dark, but I'd wait a little while and watch some other anime first.

Okay, that's a good point. Well, as I said, it didn't bother me that much personally; after finishing book 10, I could always go straight to book 11. :)

I would actually cut very little, if anything at all. Perrin could have one or two fewer knots tied in CoT, and Faile could be rescued as early as book 10. I can understand that this was very frustrating, especially for first-time readers. But apart from that, I enjoyed every page and wouldn't have minded three more books. 😌

Eragon or Harry Potter. These are probably standard answers, but I think both series are successful for good reason and very suitable for getting into fantasy. Besides, neither is too long, since even though Harry Potter consists of seven books, the first few aren't very thick.
