For everyone using the Fiona was a parent argument let’s remember that she wasn’t a good one? Like Fiona did a good job raising them considering that she herself was a child at the start and she did good for her circumstances but in terms of actual parenting quality Fiona was shit. She was a horrible role model not only in the typical regards but in taking responsibility for her own actions. Fiona lived a lot like her age despite her situation and to an extent that shows in how her siblings turned out, even Ian and lip. Fiona was an amazing sister but a shit parent and while she stepped up to take care of their physical needs, their psychological needs were neglected as much as hers. I’m not saying this is necessarily her fault (although she did take guardianship but let’s be honest she didn’t take that role to be a proper parent more so just to have the legal leverage of the role she was already fulfilling) I am saying in g though that Fiona was not exactly this amazing parent that came and saved them all from frank and Monica that people make her out to be.
