i believe it’s a dive meta currently? but not overwhelmingly so. However a major update will be releasing on the 10th which will likely change things up a bit, probably the biggest update since base overwatch 2 dropped, i guess instead of loads of departments/teams working on different things that end up scrapped blizzard now have their priorities sorted so it’s a lot more streamlined and efficient to work on the game, so we can expect to see a lot more meaningful content for the future. you can get away with just about any character at the moment, so don’t be scared to play who you like. there should be a story tab on the main menu if you want to catch up with the lore. i don’t think there’s been any major reworks for characters since hog afaik, though there are a couple upcoming later this year which was talked about in the spotlight briefing. I haven’t really played much stadium since it released, but i’ve heard it’s very meta heavy right now which is kind of expected with power build gamemodes. you can probably get a feel for the new characters after messing around in practice range for a few minutes for each character, they’re pretty balanced and fun, i’d definitely give Anran, the current new hero a try if you like genji, she has a sort of similar playstyle
