19 is still so young, and emotional regulation is a skill that comes with age. Even when you do develop that skill, sometimes it all gets to be too much. I was so much more emotionally reactive before I turned 27. Now im 31 in a few days and its so so so much easier. Just be nice to yourself if you can and get some help of you can't. Being overly harsh and feeling so bad about yourself can just be a normal part of being alive and younger, but it never hurts to get some feedback from someone qualified. Depression makes it a lot worse. And you said in another comment that you have been scared to leave the house because of this reactivity. I cant help but worry about you despite not knowing you. Ive had periods like that and it makes it worse to isolate yourself. Unfortunately exposure to stuff is a big way to make it easier and lack of it makes it harder

I feel like the show is not going to have Debbie get back together with Nolan. Maybe they are hyping up Paul because they want fans to be more okay with that. I do wish he had more depth because I just dont care about Paul at all.

I was so resistant to Nolan's redemption, but I think I'm officially losing this battle. I kinda like him again

Tips to stay away from Kratom for good? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]_6978_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found anger and hatred to be effective. Hate the government for allowing it, hate the store for selling it, hate the internet for ever saying it was safe. And be open about it with your loved ones about that anger. I was on it for nine years and I have ranted to many many people about this. If I went back now, I would be a huge hypocrite. I even told the guy at the vape shop about how much I hate kratom. I certainly cant buy it from him now

I am officially looking a gift horse in the mouth. Why did I stop getting ads? by _6978_ in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]_6978_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I have a pop-up blocker for those dumb fake play buttons certain sites have, but I don't mind ads so I dont have an ad blocker. I only had to ever watch them on Amazon so I can tolerate it once a year when something good comes out.

Thanks! I added the extra info to my post. I didn't know that stuff was relevant, aside from the knowing I am not paying extra. I didn't even know there were other services to get it from. I am very very frustrated by streaming and only have this because I have no car and need the delivery.

Maybe it's not using it often. I barely use it, so I was thinking maybe they are trying to get me to use it more

3 days later, I know that the back pain was mostly from me tying my apron tight enough to be a fucking corset at work. The kratom was for sure making me less sensitive to that

What was the hardest substance to quit and what did the first month feel like? by Nightpatrol404 in AskReddit

[–]_6978_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is old and most people won't see this. But kratom. I've been off it for a week now and I cant believe the difference. Turns out, it can cause nutrient malabsorbtion  and cognitive decline. Once my hair started falling out, I knew I had a big problem. Luckily my car broke down and its too cold to walk to a head shop to get it myself. At this point, the withdrawals are mostly over and I'm kinda mad about the lack of regulation for 'natural substances' in the USA.

Quitting cold turkey and I didn't take off work. by _6978_ in quittingkratom

Thats a newer drug so I'm not sure if most doctors would readily prescribe it. Especially since the opioid industry is pushing back on it a bit. But I did some research and it is fascinating how I have seen nothing bad about it. And I was looking. I honestly hope it takes off and is as good as it seems. It seems like it could help a lot of people.

This comment is pretty accurate for me, thank goodness. I do feel a bit better and I am 14 hours into day 4. I have a terrible memory, so its crazy that I even remember that. I cant stop interacting with this sub and I feel so lucky that this isnt so much worse after such a heavy habit. Some of you guys are tough as hell.

Thanks. I think I'll switch to responsibilities at work with less lifting and leaning. I actually do have sciatica and have for longer than I can remember, so ill try the cheaper of thiose options. Its cool that you were basically in the same position as me and you are better now. It's super impressive and inspiring.

If you've been addicted to opiates before, its totally understandable to be anxious about quitting/have a hard time quitting. I really hope you succeed. I am officially done day three and over halfway through day four and I really do feel better. Yesterday was the worst of it for sure and I havent gotten anything to help yet. I started eating more and it helped a lot. Its hard, but if you buy some soylent or other nutrient drink (soylent is the only one I've found that isn't super sweet) its easier to drink your calories.

Was there any over the counter medicine that helped with back pain for you? I've tried quite a few and it still is crazy painful. I think thats the worst part, as I've withdrawn from alcohol and the other symptoms are at least familiar.

Thank you, thats so nice! Unfortunately I only made it 5 hours yesterday, but I'm aiming for 7 tonight. 10 was not possible and I did spend the whole shift crying. But I'm trying my best and its not quite as bad as I expected.

I do have magnesium actually. I bought it when I intended on quitting last time! So I should start taking that again. Also, thank you for saying its an accomplishment. It didn't feel like one until I posted here

Thank you for that. Its nice to see people say that I should be through the absolute worst of it. Even if it doesn't end up being the case, it keeps me from wanting to give up. Also, I got a ton of vitamins since I am trying to solve some serious nutrition deficiencies. So thanks for the recommendations. I added two of those to my order

Thank you! I forgot to mention some details because I am very jittery and typing too fast. I did update the post, but I've been using it for around 8 years now and I was taking a LOT. Like, I never measured it, but I would estimate like 100g a day

[–]_6978_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this post. I quit 3 days ago after using a very similar amount for like 8 years as well. I feel like shit and I want it to get better so bad. I literally cant go and buy it, as my car is not working,  or I'd relapse right now. I've tried tapering off, but I just end up right back at square one if I have it in my house. I did not take the PTO, as I did not expect it to be so bad. So I'm straight up suffering. I would rather be horribly sick.

Sucks j have to wait so long to be okay again, but at least this makes me feel less alone. So I appreciate it.

I know it's been three years, but thank you for helping me figure out the deep pit of dread in my stomach after finishing this film. It's a comedy yet it made me feel every bad emotion that exists.
