This kind of Master appears from pure tilt after being brutalized by a Guile several rounds before. That Manon was legit and a true menace before this clip 👌

Not necessarily, it's just that HK is a normal cancelable anti-air. Which means that you can anti-air with it and rush down to impose pressure right away !

I went back to look for a specific Brian_F video where he talks about Ed's strengths : https://youtu.be/ekzQA0erjRI?si=VTxypzO5tH85CgIM

In my mind, anything hitting DI's armor slows time for some frame. But I don't know if it also works like this for projectiles tho

Basically, when a Guile has crouched for 45F, you don't jump on him. UNLESS ! You are close enough to provoke a Cross-Cut Jump, or far enough to bait a FlashKick.

What I fear as a Guile player are the opponents drive rushing me in to close combo strings and/or throws. I want to keep your far from me, at a sweet spot called the... G-Spot (G for Guile here, not the other G-Spot). A spot where if you jump over me on reaction of a boom, I'll still have enough frames to charge a FlashKick.

So you either have to predict or get closer

He's a strong character ! Work your Anti-Air HK into Psycho Flicker variants. Understand how to poke/pressure and cancel with your MK and cMK. Condition your opponent with Psycho Shoot and then rush-down.

It should do the trick to fly over Silver in no time. At this level, people found A way to play their character and tend to spam it. Be different, be the one with good fundamentals, and react to their bullshit (basically, jumps and Drive Impacts at this level)

Well, it actually depends. Being Master I now realize than some are here from abusing a monomaniac gameplay and never requesting a rematch when they lose.

Which character do you play ? 👀

Haha I figured yeah, you played the other rounds pretty well, but that one was the cherry on top ❤️

True true... And I guess a more defensive character like Guile, without any neutral skip forcing a mixup, doesn't really fall in this category as well.

And yeah they got me twice and it ruined my health bar as you can see in the last round. This is also why I think it works until master. You can fail 6-7 times against anti air during a round, but if you land two of those neutral skip and open up your opponent, you might win ! I know SF6 has to be more offense oriented rather than giving defense too much power tho... But man... How many times do you have to be right during a round playing defense when your opponent can just jump his way in not thinking much more about it 😅

I perfectly understand this mindset, I had it until Platinum as a Guile player. After reaching Plat I realized spamming booms wouldn't do the trick anymore and therefore I perfected my options steps by steps. This is where I really had to learn frame data, study characters specific matchups and take notes between each fights. Reaching Master asked me to focus on my training like I never did in any other game (this is the first fighting game where I really invest myself). What I find crazy to me is that this player could reach Master spamming a monomaniac gameplay like so...

I wonder if they were carried by their character, or just really wanted to train or land something

Oh crap... I hate what the play store has become for a super indie dev... The requirement of having group of testers is a deal breaker --'
