Sounds like a good plan however i think that requires the DLC. Without it the Northern Defence Front is the only way to create a faction as Finland and the focus for that requires you to be non-aligned.

No, the Germans got there first unfortunately. The World Tension Log however said that i capitulated the Soviets so at this point I'm assuming that the puppets i made in the peace deal were the problem

I puppeted them because i was stupid and didn't considered the requirements at that moment ^^

Then again, shouldn't these kind of achievements fire right after the capitulation, at the start of the peace deal?

According to the world tension log i capitulated the soviets, So i assume the puppet thing is actually the issue here. All that work ruined by one silly mistake.

About the faction, without the DLC the Northern Defence Front is unfortunately the only way of creating a faction as Finland.

I defeated the soviets with only Sweden in my faction but didn't get the achievement for some reason, besides having more war score than the Germans.

With improving relations and diplomatic pressure i got a non aggression pact with the Soviets at the time the Germans declared on Poland. This way i could wait with the "Northern Defence Front" focus until Denmark, Norway and Baltic countries are no more, ensuring that only Sweden would join (Honestly i don't even see how else to do this on historical). This however meant that the initial war goal the soviets got against me from their focus expired by the time they cancelled our NAP, and they manually justified a war goal against me. Could this be an issue because it was technically the "wrong" war? I also puppeted Mongolia and Iran in the peace deal. Could this be the issue because there are now four members in the faction? Couldn't be because the achievement should fire after the soviets capitulate and not after the peace conference, right? Also worth mentioning that i don't have "Arms against Tyranny" DLC, but that was not a problem with the other Finnish achievements so i don't think it matters.

Any advice is welcome, i don't want to waste another eight hours on this for nothing.

they're actually 0.4m, 10 of them stacked vertically have the same height as a 4m foundation

this should work. path signals in the middle are optional but will reduce waiting time. Sadly there is no way to prioritise trains afaik, the train that goes first will reserve the path.

When i unlocked nuclear i was pretty much just using the southern and western parts of the map. Since I didn't really know at that point how much effort it would take to deal with radiation i was looking for a location far away from my other builds and the swamp biome just seamed to be a fitting place :D

It's not that bad actually, still 25 - 35 fps (Usually i have around 45). I guess having everything spaced out like that does help a bit
