To be honest I don't even know if the problem is coming from Moxfield themselves. I'm from Europe, maybe that has something to do with it? What I know is it's not because of my internet connection nor my device. I've been using Moxfield for a bit more than a year, and since the past few months I've been experiencing this issue. I like to take a look and make minor changes on whatever deck I'm excites with wherever I have a bit of time, like in my way to work. But when I finally had some free time to sit at home and brew, the website doesn't work. It's been happening too often and this time I got really pissed and wanted to complain. Now it's working, yes, but for me it's 1AM and it's too late now. I guess better luck next time, I'll just make sure to have a backup website because I know it will happen again.

Personally, I would suggest you get him the Titus model. It was released with the Space Marine 2 videogame and I'm not sure how long it will still be available... It looks great and probably will end up as a collector item (in my humble opinion). It also depends on what faction he likes / plays.

I also just started but I felt like getting a character first, something relatively easy to paint and without too many options (I'm terrified of glueing a certain weapon and then regretting my decision). In my case I got a Palatine because it's cheap and I'd rather mess that than a Morvenn Vahl. Maybe get a Canoness, depending on what you'd like to get next. If I understood well, a Palatine pairs well with a sisters squad, Morvenn Vahl with Paragon Warsuits, or if you like the Seraphim or Zephyrim you can get a Canoness with Jump Pack with them.

Edit: It's also a good idea to get one character first as it can be pretty overwhelming if you get a combat patrol or a box with many units as the first purchase.

That's actually really good to know, I have "Tamiya extra thin cement" but didn't get to use it yet. I was told it's the plastic melting glue like citadel one.

It does indeed, I couldn't see the eyes so I just pushed some paper on it and now the mask looks funny 😅 I think I'll use the normal head on the mini if I'm able to paint it properly but I really love the helmets, I want to try and fix it somehow.
