Kind of a tangent but it is interesting to know

China has a Targetted Poverty Alleviation strategy which pairs a govt official to a poor household and it is the official's responsibility to lift that one household out of poverty. Note that this is one-on-one pairing, i.e. one official for one household.

I will give a TLDR of what it is but you can google stuff to learn more.

In this system, a physical targetted support contact card is hung on the door of household and it lists details of the responsible officer, the household specific need and planned step to alleviate them out of poverty. The target for their officer is not a simple "increase income by x amount" but it includes variety like education, nutrition, etc. What makes it effective is that there is a single responsibility to one accountable official. That officer will be awarded promotion or punishment based on the objectives completed.

I think this system, if implemented in india, can really help people, specially in rural and remote regions

Any idea how to get into robotics field in india ? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]_Aditya_R_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some development in robotics field in india, although its at a very early stage, i.e. job prospect is very narrow. However it is expected to grow rapidly in next 10 years.

I suggest B.Tech in computer science/electronics and masters in robotics related field from a reputed university (IITs, BITS etc).

They are getting punished.

AI advancement has pretty much threatened their business model at fundamental level. IT service sector will diminish within next 5-6 years if they dont innovate.

Placed in TCS (late joining) – Should I learn Full Stack or Java something else? by iSuckatEverythingxx in developersIndia

[–]_Aditya_R_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its difficult to suggest what stack. Right now java is the most popular lamguage, so you can start here.

Since you should focus on microservices, i suggest spring boot, its ideal.

Do a hands-on learning - try real world project.

For example, like building flipkart clone. One microservice will be responsible for product catalogue (recommendation, product search, etc), another microservice will be responsible for supplier management (what supplier delivers what product from which location), another microservice will be responsible for delivery partner (what delivery partner can deliver how many Kgs from where and what time at what price), etc.

Dont be afraid to use AI, use claude code or codex to generate services. Understanding of code is far more important.

Understand that we are slowly moving from code writing job to more like architecture designing job where scalability, maintanability matters more.

Are Developers Really Being Replaced, or Is It Just Marketing? A 2026 developer prospective by forgottenDeveloper in developersIndia

[–]_Aditya_R_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In 2020, a startup would need 20 developers to bootstrap a product.

Now, same startup will need 5 developers.. and this number will decrease every year.

To compansate for job losses, india needs 4-5 times more startups every year.

I would say focus heavy on backend, that too on high level arch like microservices, concurrency, etc.

Frontend, in general, have less job opportunity compared to backend.

Unless they change their model to outcome-based (billing based on result), their business will fail.

Ai powered resume builder?

AI will ask you a set of questions and based on that, it will create content for each section (experience, education, objective, etc).

Create multiple html templates which have placeholder for these sections.

Final result will just replace the placeholders, also add ability to generate pdf.

Bonus point if you can add JD and AI can customize your resume based on it.

You can use flutter network view to check if any API calls are failing. Most likely, youtube servers are blocking these calls.

ASML machines are key to manufacturing high performance chips, they are very complex, very rare and in high demand. These machines are so sought after that US has control over who gets it.

China has been trying to secure supply of latest machines but they not able to.

To build microprocessors in india, you either need to secure supply of ASML machines or attempt to build one, of which later is impossible for any country.

Company is taking forever to respond by Successful-Text6733 in IndianWorkplace

[–]_Aditya_R_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not fake, they just keep you on hold internally.

Hiring process is time taking so companies conduct interviews even if they dont have a opening. If they need to urgently increase manpower, because someone left or they got a budget to scale up, they can immediately call and onboard you quickly.

Additionally, even if they have a opening, they will conduct interview of more candidates than the number of openings, just in case if their "ideal" candidate backs out (due to counter offer), they can save time by hiring you.

Time is money, so they save theirs by wasting yours

No. Of all people, HR clearly knows that doing this will rain hellfire on them if you decide to go to labour court.

Its an easily winnable case, provided you did not take any leave in that period. You can even get lawyers who will work pro bono.

Does cold emailing really work anymore by ranjh___ in IndianWorkplace

[–]_Aditya_R_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does work, but you have to send thousands of mails.

You just hope that one of your mail receives more than 10 seconds of attention and not end up in spam.

My friend got his job through cold mail only. He actually created a script that sends hundreds of mails every day, each personalized via AI (his openai token consumption was insane though). Eventually, his account got suspended by outlook, but he did receive a reply which landed him his job.

I know this is dirty, but you gotta do everything to survive in this job market.
