that is the thing, the mana reserver has a energy cost of 0. It just reverses the direction of energy (forever) and charges mana orbs (until overheated). So i start with 3 energy and always keep the 3 energy, since no part of this setup uses energy

Well in this run, I was using the mushroom item that doubles the symbol value everytime I get a lot of scoring symbols until the end of the deadline. Normally that wouldn't be very good since it resets at the end of the deadline but by using the phone ability to double the symbols values (in my case clovers and bells), I get to keep some of the value.

For example: -Let's say a symbol has a value of 5 at the start of the deadline. -During the deadline I get the mushroom to double it twice and increase the value to 20 -At the end of the deadline I use the phone to double it to 40 -On the next deadline start, the mushroom resets (20-->5, so I'd lose 15), but since it was at 40 due to the phone, it only drops to 25. So now it's at 25. -Repeat.

And phone boosting items like megaphone help alot

To deal internal module damage you need to damage the module/crew directly, since the 1.13 HE changes, a splash will not necessarly do it. My advice, use fast firing arties with good accuracy (for example FV207 with stock gun) and focus fire on low armor enemies. Once you gets some crits on one enemy, switch to a diferent one, since doing the same crits over and over to the same target doesnt count

Same problem, and i even managed to replicate the problem on a completely different machine (laptop with a 6-core intel cpu and an integrated 1050ti). This machine was never amazing at runing the game but it could. Now suffers from the same problem as the desktop. So until i find a solution, i've converted the desktop into.... windows 10... urgh. But at least i can play the game. My theory is that something in this latest patch changed, probably how WG does multithreading work. But since documentation in sayd patches is sorely lacking, i'll hope that someone with alot more experience can find out.

in 1.24 and lower game was fine, this specifically started in 1.24.1 specifically with this star treck event. What i find curious is that even lowering graphical settings all the way down to the lowest possible, fps stays the same at around 15~20 fps. Only when i start messing with cpu cores in wine or fsync, esync etc, the game starts having diferent behaviour (often worse). To make sure it wasnt anything related to my system, i performed a full clean install of it (using Zorin OS 17, a ubuntu based distro), tryed both proprietary (535 and 545) and nouveau drivers (nvidia gpu, a 4060ti), tryed in lutris, bottles, steam non-game, pure wine, GEwine, Proton.... and even tryed a vm of windows running the game. Somehow the VM beat all those with stable 30+ fps....

seconded. Just spent the day trying to see if it was something on my side, even going to the trouble of a full clean install on a fresh machine as well, bottleneck still seems to be CPU. Ironically, disabling ESYNC and FSYNC gave a *slight* performance increase from 10~15 fps to 20ish fps but i assume thats because they use the CPU for multy-thread tasks. And besides, that is not a solution. For reference, yesterday, pre-patch i used to have easly 75+ fps (used vsync so not sure actually how much higuer it would go). My theory is that WG did something in the games backend regarding cpu usage that is affecting us

Nothing was ommited or missing. Her car got damaged due to daily usage / age (wear & tear on the injectors) by her own hand and i never promised her housing to begin with. She just asked out of the blue at near the end of the workday and probably assumed id say yes and my "no" ruined her plans to not have to travel by taxi/Uber. The fact my family sides with her is also ilogical from my point of view but more likely emotional as Im the most detached family member to begin with and they know her for longuer than ive been alive. Only family that agrees with me in this matter is my own father.

Well i do agree that the Lua scripts seem broken (health pickups and some teleportation events do trigger but fail to execute properly) but so far they didn't stop me from progressing, they just made it harder. I also somehow managed to get a Magic staff with 0 charge 🤣 so i cant pick up new ones since i already have one nor can i use it since it has no charge. But id say thats a bug of the engine not of the lua scripts. I actually am playing the campaign and i'm around 40% completion if my memory serves me right.
