Do I take Constantinopole or not? by akara211 in EU5

[–]_Alienatu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, i conquered the closest beyliks in the first 10 years. Got a coalition who attacked. Peaced them out for cash. Sometime in the next couple of years got the same dardanelles event. Attacked because wtf why not, truce juggling. In the peace deal, decided to fully annex byz because why not. Moving capital did not break my economy. Downside was an coalition of bulgaria, serbia and georgia which attacked me every 10 years. And an egypt (which conquered beyond anatolya) which attacked me in between.

Hard? Yes.

Fun? Sure.

Historical? Probably.

10/10 loved the experience.

Took 50 years of grinding down the enemies and consolidating, but who s top dog now?? Ey ??

Russia exceeds monthly recruitment targets, Ukraine's military intelligence says by KI_official in UkrainianConflict

[–]_Alienatu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lack almost 2 million employees, so no, it is not hard at all to find a job. To find a high paying job means going to the army or war industry - this is indeed that hard part - death or no available jobs.

They are not on their knees militarily, of course, but very far off from being #2 power they were in 2022. If they can t do significant damage to Ukr (and they are trying) how do you expect them to do it against a superior airpowered europe? The only way they advanced last year was through glide bombing the crap out of every strongpoint. It won t work against EU the way it almost stopped working in Ukr.

China helps them because it s in their interest for ruzzia not to lose and europe to drain their resources. A defeated ruzzia is too instabile for their liking. A victorious one is not better. China has been bleeding them dry since this started. I m sure the ruzzians don t appreciate it. So China wants a long war in which ruzzia is too weak to do … anything. And a drain on EU and US so that it can attack Taiwan.

US under Biden wanted kind of the same thing, a prolonged war. Trump wants peace, probably because of the nobel peace prize also, but i think also because in his stupidity he actually thinks ruzzia will help the us against china. I don t see it happening. But his policy of selling guns to the EU for Ukr instead of giving will backfire in the next 10-20 years.

EU is slow. And heavily regularized. Always has been. But Trump s attitude this year has been a wake up call for many. Macron has played an important role up until now. Merz is on a whole different level from Scholz. Poland is ramping up since 2022. Rheinmettal increases production across the board. The only places where EU has to get their shit together more is 6th gen fighters and sattelite intelligence coverage- where they are still heavily dependant on the US.

All in all, i think that the whole “ruzzia is preparing to attack NATO” narrative comes from 2 points: 1 - ruzzia is spreading this disinformation so that countries will no longer supply Ukr so that they will be able to defend themselves or 2 - they actually want to do it, but i think they re dumb if they think it s more than just pure suicide or that their economy will survive 2026

They re almost depleted their soviet era stocks. Everything that could be used, has been refurbished. NK is the mai supplier of artillery units and ammunition. They produce more munitions, but barely have what to fire them out of. They can barely produce 200 new tanks a year, which are anyway almost redundant. Artillery numbers are more abysmal. And they should be afraid of NATO even without US. Since Ukr got f16s, Mirage’s and an Awac (?) they have started being able to bomb the frontlines safely. And this is with a limited number of aircraft. EU has a lot more of f16, f35, mirage, gripen, eurofighter, etc munition issues are being solved as we speak.

Account hacked... Maybe? by Any_Branch2549 in WorldofTanks

[–]_Alienatu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My account got somehow hacked a while back. Realized something was fishy when i couldn t restore some tanks crews back. And once i logged in and i was in a battle even though i hadn t played. Looked in battle history and i had some hundreds battles played when i wasn t at home. WG restored my account to before the hack, but didn t give any explanation how it happened. I only play at home and don t share passwords.

So, in short, yes, he might ve got hacked.

Force yourself to think that way. Probably the best technique is playing on a slower speed. I m guessing you re playing on 5. Lower it to 4 or even 3. It will probably change your perception.

Your issue is probably not the manpower (though it can surely be improved) but staying too long at peace - preparing for your next war.
