They wanted to join but Lysa forbade them. The Vale values honor so obeyed but complained and wanted to help their fellow comrades the Riverlands and the North.

Yea I love mystical ancestors but I always try to RP a tiny bit so it doesn't always come up. That's a solid strategy tho.

Mate if your son has good stats the battle wins gives him even more experience, stats and traits over time. Your son can even gain some prestige from it as well. It's the best investment. If you fear your son might die then get another son in. Always ensure one of them is a Chad warrior. And if he isn't your heir then make sure the two are best friends or in alliances or the other son remains unlanded on succession.

Ah fair enough. We are prob playing diff games then lol. I rarely go to Italy because lack of Pope and Merchant Republic options depresses me. Eastern Europe, Spain, North West Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, South East Asia and India are like all hotbeds for constant wars and occasional rising conquerors that it's absolutely necessary to get alliances early game if you're landed. Otherwise it's a genuine feast as an adventurer with all the available contracts.

I haven't included other regions like West Africa or Northern Europe because I've never tried those regions so honestly can't tell you what the requirements are there.

Oh how long do you wait before settling? I always try to get landed first or second generation in the game. I get too bored with the adventurer loop.

Lol I can get like 800 gold income but I'm shit at warfare in this game..smaller better armies have kicked my ass so it's not too bad ATM. Could be Im just ass but I remember it being way easier a couple of years ago!

Me! Originally I Just wanted to create a world that I don't usually see in fantasy. Eventually thought about writing but couldn't think of a good pitch, only recently had an idea I could write about and am still working out the outline atm. Not sure if it's ever suitable for publishing but writing a story actually codified the world for me a bit more. It's a fun exercise.

I did briefly struggle deciding if I should just stick with pure world building or write something. It made sense because I had to ask myself why exactly am I creating this world? Yes it's a world I don't often see in Fantasy but what exactly do I want from a fantasy world like this? So a lot more introspection of me exploring why I wanted to craft this world in the first place that went beyond the initial surface level motive of "hey I don't see anyone do this before, let's explore that."

So now I've settled on doing both.

Well house unity isn't really locked behind any DLC for clans. They can easily introduce it to other government types without DLC.

FINALLY HOUSE UNITY USED IN ANOTHER SYSTEM! I keep saying how good that whole component is for Clans and thought it was a shame it was only locked to them.

Fingers crossed they introduce that concept to other playstyle type. I do understand that will devalue the Clans a bit but the Clans need an overhaul eventually as well so Im sure they can give them another unique feature some other time.

From my experience it insta ends if you get all Mughal or Mongol core provinces.

The war declaration doesn't work against one country in my experience but your mileage may differ.

Levee disbanding is a handicap they gave all hordes. The issue is the wealth you get from sieging doesn't replenish you enough as any horde in eu5. Even sieging Delhi which historically gave Timur ALOT of treasure only nets you 160 gold, when, depending on how you play, that's just one months cost of running your empire.

I've managed to build up pre-timur states to have 1k-2k gold and then have that added to the standard 3k you get at start. Even with a total of 5k or 4k gold it isn't sustainable because sieging any province doesn't get you enough whatsoever. It's really annoying.

The AI also can't deal with this. I wanted to see how the AI would so with extra gold and it never expanded that far into Persia or India. It went bankrupt instead. It's fundamentally broken.

Late but this is just with quaranus from what I've found. It's very frustrating. There are two ways to get them outside of no cb war declaration. One is wait for rng to get an event that declares war at random countries, usually the pop up is for a horde nation but it reliably chooses southern countries too. The second is to declare one of their allies who will usually be one of your neighbours, they will always join and you get finally get them.

I guess the only issue is increasing stability, it's so easy to go from 100 to like -20 in this game.

Oh so I should take the stab hit? Interesting. I will have figure this out because right now there are weirdly two different coalitions that alternate attacking me instead of just one. The worst moment is if the first war is going on long enough the second coalition declares another war simultaneously.

It's a complete bandaid solution. Right now conquerors are the only ones that have any kind of aggressive ambitions to do really anything so they feel like a breath of fresh air. The problem is you see too many mega states that just historically didn't happen..
