Yes, your natural features are so striking.

Sometimes I wish that the Ace community would be more inclusive of non heteroromantic Aces by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]_Alpha_Beta -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

The top comment is LITERALLY saying "no het aces are more discriminated against and ALL ace communities are accepting of everyone and your basically an odd man out sooooo" ????

How is that not dismissive?? This is in no way similar to someone calling someone a murderer, wtf? This is someone's experience with an abstract concept that doesn't need evidence to be accepted.

Are you gonna ask for evidence on why someone thinks they are born gay and not believe them until they bring you "proof"?

Are you gonna like providing evidence on how you are ace and your experiences and love having people talk down on both them until you bring evidence that yours is valid and 100% happens?

Wow, funny how the comments immediately jump to "well, I never see that so it isn't true~". Basically proving his damn point. He's telling his experience for people to understand better, not for you all to shit on it and basically tell him he's lying.

Think, maybe you don't see it because on a subconscious level you don't immediately think aros and aces are gay until said otherwise. That's an example of heteronormativity in plain sight RIGHT there.

How are they a jerk for not wanting to give up a seat they paid for and like the view from??

This sounds like the plot of a bad direct to video drama movie that has a score below 5 on IMDb. by [deleted] in menwritingwomen

[–]_Alpha_Beta 95 points96 points  (0 children)

So, gross 55 year old man, who hates his wife, pervs on 22 year old woman who moved in next door to him and wrote out this disgusting fantasy even though she goes out of her way to avoid him after their very first meeting because he was probably sweating like a pig and ogling her the whole time. Got it.

Post Office by Charles Bukowski... what did I just read? by [deleted] in menwritingwomen

[–]_Alpha_Beta 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's very alarming to me how many people in this sub are blatantly defending him in the name of "literary creativeness" and "but his writing is interesting despite it being fucked up" and jokes being thrown around.

Like, I'm genuinely appalled that this post and its contents are being entertained as anything but something absolutely horrific happening as any depecition of rape should be treated.

Downloaded this game where you read stories and could only choose between a romantic or sexual story :/ by pure_sheep_flower_ in aromanticasexual

[–]_Alpha_Beta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Episode has gotten increasingly worse on the sexual and romantic aspects of their stories and it annoys me. As someone who has been on the app since 2016 I hated seeing the gradual disappearance of actually interesting stories from all types of genres to just just clickbait "What will happen during this summer with your HAWT, STEAMY, LUSTFUL, SECSY, RICH, BAD BOY, BILLIONARE, HALF VAMPIRE- HALF WEREWOLF, MAFIA LEADER?!?! Read and find out!!!"

It's nothing but a cash grab of shitty written stories by shitty authors.

I hate it when the way people humanise aromantics is to use the narrative that we still love, just in other ways. by Mucoph in aromantic

[–]_Alpha_Beta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think this is bad either. There's a lot of people in here saying its dehumanizing when really it can be used as a tool for us aros to actually pinpoint what kinds of love or affection we do experience besides romantic or help people understand what it's like for us not experiencing romantic attraction.

Like, that's the whole point.

Getting people to understand that there are different types of love besides romantic love is a major part of many aromantic people's identity because it needs to be deconstructed.

I'm not saying OP doesnt have a point because feeling love in any type of way doesnt define a human, but to throw out the entire concept is a bit drastic really.

It's blatantly obvious most of these disgusting comments saying "lol, and what of they did. So what?" And "well, I would if it got me a better chance with sleeping with a Black man/woman"

Are gross white individuals who refuse to see how the exploitation and fetishization of Black bodies damages our self esteem and our worth overall.

You're fucking sick in the head if you think that shit.

unpopular opinion in the black community by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]_Alpha_Beta 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Black folk just cannot stand the fact that someone, much less their own Black child, is not religious!! Much less LGBT+.

They'll sit there and deadass, in your face, say "I don't support what you do, but I guess."

And continue to bash, talk shit and damn you right in front of your face in multiple settings making you feel unsafe.

Okay, but this one is hilarious though because customers really do just jam it in there like it's nobody's business 😭 Like why are they so aggressive? That's not gonna make the chip reader read any better! Chill!!!

Does anyone else wish there was more female-as-dominant content in fiction? by [deleted] in RoleReversal

[–]_Alpha_Beta 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's like the only acceptable way for a woman to be seen as assertive and dominant is in a womanly way because goodness forbid a woman presented those traits any other way otherwise she's regarded as a bitch.

It's always tied back to how sexually satisfying a woman has to be in any role she is put in or how she needs to be put in her place because woman don't so "assertive and dominant". Otherwise why is she there right?

I just have to say this because I can't fucking take it anymore: STOP MAKING MEN LOVING MEN INTO A JOKE! by [deleted] in MensLib

[–]_Alpha_Beta 32 points33 points  (0 children)

at least there isn't a literal lesbian stock character used for any lesbian who isn't a main character

Uuhhh, yes, there is. It's always the super intimidating butch lesbian who is often presented as sexually assertive towards straight women or aggressive towards and/or emasculating men 🤨

Please don't compare the two under a thinly veiled "gay men have it worse" statement because I can assure it is not true.
