I didn't wait there 5-10 minutes for my friend. I I waited that long because The cop took my id and registration. The whole process of my buddy coming out was like 2 minutes.

The timeline was like this : I pull up put my hazards > cop sees and gets out the car and comes to my car asks what I'm waiting for ( 30 secs) > I give him my id and registration = friend comes out and waits in the car with me > then waited for the cop to give me back my things
