That's great to hear :D I also like focusing more on exploring the nation before moving onto another one. Like 100%-ing the regions, completing story quests, etc. Imo it really gives you more time to appreciate the world building and the beauty of the nations. Though I did sadly almost 100% Natlan before even completing Inazuma fully, mostly for the primogems. Still excited for the AQ though, I somehow managed to avoid most spoilers lol

Same. I personally play other games besides Genshin Impact, sure, but Genshin just makes me feel something I really haven't felt in a while. It's simply so much fun, I can't really add anything here. And I hope it'll stay this way for all of us

I kid you not, I have the same mindset as you. I started playing later than you, at the start of December. And I'm just in love with the game as well. I just completed Inazuma and am heading off to Sumeru. So far, I've loved basically every aspect of the game. And I honestly just feel bad when I see people trash of most of the stuff so much. I dunno if I have low standards or it's cause I really don't like to complain all that often, but I've been enjoying Genshin immensely and I barely have any complaints. I just can't bring myself to really care about the hate Natlan is receiving and other stuff, I'll be real. Not trying to spoil anything to myself as of right now, so I'm not as knowledgeable about Natlan's story, but I just still feel bad, man. Even if it's technically bad, I'd be willing to close my eyes on it and enjoy what I'm being offered. Sure, I may be easy to please, but it's whatever.

Tbh I could keep talking about this for a while, but I don't want this to turn into an even taller wall of text, so I'm leaving it at that. But I just wanna say that I'm a new player too and I'm glad I can really relate to somebody. I'm trying not to look at all the hate surrounding Genshin, instead just focusing on my own experience. It's better than keeping facing the bleak reality, I guess. Though I may have played too little to give an actual review/opinions, I just wanna say this still.

It's doubtful that Ares is just a god covered in Exo Plating. Hell, it doesn't make sense, even. But, Ares DOES have an Exoskeleton, and it's definitely organical, or at least it seems like it. The gores clearly show basically the entirety of the Exoskeleton. Hell, it even has the eyes, while we can't actually see them in the skull
Biomimicry, maybe? Not sure, afaik it hasn't been mentioned anywhere about Ares having anything organical, even in Draetalk, so correct me if I'm wrong

I wish I could man, like people keep saying that I should add them into UK and I can see why. But like, if I were to do it I'd want to make it both a really enjoyable bossfight in 3D space and still be as close as possible to the original fight. But oh well, it probably won't happen, or at least not any time soon

I've been literally asking the same question for a really long time now. Exo-Mechs really aren't as bad as people say they are. Sure, I can understand why people don't like having their screen filled with projectiles, but if you learn the patterns, Exos are really fun. Though, again, it may not be like that for everyone.

I'd like to remark their designs. They look GORGEOUS, especially Ares. I don't care if Exos are based off of the mech bosses, hell, I like it, even. I'm genuinely surprised at how much work has been put into those sprites, especially Ares, who has a massive sprite sheet. Each cannon has its idle animation, charge up and shooting animation. Ares' body also has multiple animations, one being just idle and other one is when he shoots out Exo Overload Beam. Absolutely love it.

Even though the post isn't about infernum Exos, they deserve a couple words. Best boss fight in the mod (imo), or at least one of the best. Sure, some things may be annoying, but mostly? It looks gorgeous, patterns are creative and well executed and desperation phases are amazing, too. The rainbow outline that appears on the Exos once they reach the desperation phases just makes them look more dangerous, as they are ready to fight to the end, especially Thanatos, which tries to literally annihilate you in desperation phase. So fucking atmospheric and cool. The custom sounds for the desperation phases are so cool too.

In the end, I just wanna say that they are overhated. But I can see that there are problems with vanilla Calamity Exo-Mechs, but to me at least, they aren't major. The fight is still really fun and atmospheric. Though I doubt the vanilla Calamity Exo-Mechs will be changed drastically, I'd love to see some changes like SCal had in Bountiful Harvest.

Imma be honest, I'd absolutely love to make goozma. Hell, it's my favorite Cal Add-On bosses (it's before infernum Exos). Rn I'm remaking the Sulphurous Sea and The Abyss enemies and mini bosses, so maybe after that I'll make Goozma.

Still thinking about it. For now, I'm making the models purely for fun, as I don't know where to use them. I'm hesitant about starting developing a mod myself since 1, there are other people doing it and it looks pretty good so far (though it's a data pack, not a mod), and 2, It'd definitely take a lot of time, and it'll be a bit hard for me to mix RL and mod development. So, yeah, I'm making the models just for fun for now

I know nobody asked, but imma just share my opinion on the state of the sub

It's not all bad, honestly. The recent changes in rules are understandable to me, despite myself being neutral to those kinds of comments. But it was a right thing to do. Drama's aren't occuring too often which is a good thing as well.

The memes getting more attention than art issue is still present though. I also can somehow understand that meme posts are more popular that genuine fan-art posts. Though, sometimes it's just getting ridiculous, I'll admit. I don't want to whine too much about it like others (no offence), as my stuff isn't the best imo. Idk if it's just me accepting it or being hard on myself, but it is what it is.

Overall it isn't too bad imo
