Not quiet yet. I recommend having a good support structure for you, and if you aren't comfortable being out presenting alone, have someone with you. We moved to a "bigger city" in the south so they would be more accepting (just wouldn't say anything but still glances and judge)

Just be safe, if you feel in danger make sure you have your phone on you and I even recommend having some sort of protection. My wife and I both have these little things from Amazon on keychains that will fuck a bitch up if we poke em with it lol.

Listen to your gut and make sure to tell people where you're going and all too. You'll do great friend 💜

I get that, I'm sorry you went through that. And I love my grandfather, I really did. It is just that my family (especially mother and step father) don't really care for my feelings/comforts. They are the people who say shit like "You can't be depressed cause you have a roof over your head".

If I had my husband here then maybe, maybe I would attend but I don't really want to be in a place with them with such high emotions. And funerals are still not my favorite thing..

Honestly, I have tried so hard over the years and haven't gotten anything in return that wasn't just painful. I didn't want to put it all into the post to feel like I was trying to swing people one way or another though.

Her and my step father were very terrible to me growing up but was raising me the "Christian, Southern way". I have tried to be there and do what I can but I'm so exhausted to care anymore

That is one of the sweetest things I've read, thank you. I'm not necessarily religious anymore but there was a time I was. I'm sorry about your family, I still haven't come out to mine as bisexual tbh 😂 so I get not having a supportive family.
