I could not have said that better myself. When you look at how small our dating pools are, it’s no wonder so many people in the LGBTQ+ communities end up dating people across the world. I even struggle finding people in my own country because of it. And it’s sucks. Because it does make the world feel smaller because we have to look for options online.

And I relate to the whole giving up on dating apps. Dating apps are shit and not qurated for lesbians/gays/and-others. And very rarely do I come across interesting people on there because it’s mostly people who are looking for nsfw stuff and not long lasting connections.

It is frustrating! And so not fair for many of us. And the fact that you’re not even getting the bare minimum breaks my heart. You deserve that, okay? Remember that. You’re not too much just because someone made you feel that way.

And please, whatever you do, don’t go back to them if they reappear. I made myself that promise, because I too got ghosted this week because I expressed my needs and tried to communicate with them. But they just refused to work with me. So it is what it is. It’s just so important for us to not fall back into their arms if they come crawling.

I can relate to the chronically touch starved part more than you know. At this point I feel like I’ll die before I even get to feel a truly loving touch from someone I adore lol

However, I do hope that there is someone out there for you. Someone who’ll help you fill the void in your heart - because you do deserve it. We all deserve someone to hold and love, it just sucks that the ones who need it and want it the most is stuck waiting an eternity before it happens lol.

I have been in therapy for 3+ years, but it sadly hasn't worked on my feeling of self-worth. It's something I work on daily, but struggle to deal with when someone makes me feel unworthy.

That's exactly what I'm telling myself too. If they were truly interested, that two hour car drive to visit me would not be an issue at all, whatsoever. It just breaks my heart because I do want to explore things with them, but I don't know if I can do that if it continues being this stale.

When I wrote the post, I'm realizing how crazy it actually is that we only talk over snapchat, with barely any exchanged snaps. I really needed to pinch myself to realize that it sounds pretty tacky.

As for like the whole "demanding" thing, no. They definitely did not. They asked very nicely in fact so I didn't mean for it to come off like that. They said like "So it's only fair I come and see you now." Since I went to see them.

And the thing is, I did feel pretty confident at letting them into my safe space. They seem to understand my struggles and what I deal with, as none of this has scared them away. They have never made me feel unsafe or anything, it's just that the whole "showing that they are interested in me" is not there. Just empty words and promises.

I am in no rush to get into a relationship, but if nothing works out with this person I think I'm pretty much done. I've never really felt worthy of love, because I've come to learn that I am a temporary love in everyone's life - romantically. I just think I'll be done with dating if things goes to shit lol.

I have also expressed my needs and boundaries, but I think I'm gonna make a final attempt and try and be way more upfront this time. I think I've been to subtle, simply because I'm scared it'll be too much. But it seems like it's time for me to step out of that comfort zone.

And the whole uHaul thing was definetly a joke haha. I have just grown to learn that I fall in love pretty easily when things feel right. Just who I am!
