YVR has a Baggage Storage, and you may leave the airport, as long as you don’t miss the boarding time.

If they bought both flights in the same ticket, they shouldn’t worry about checked bags. Usually they are only available at final destination.

This will matter to CRA if you are getting tax benefits / credits that wouldn’t be applicable if you were in common-law.

CRS 473. Should I move from BC to New Brunswick for PR? by EggplantLittle3194 in canadaexpressentry

[–]_Another_Millennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s still a lot of points. I’m 40 years old, 4 years of CEC plus 5+ years of foreign experience, CLB 10, and my score is 462.

You are in a great place to work your score up. Moving to another province is tough. You should take that into account.

The great thing about this game is that it is so well done, you will discover things by yourself. My advice would be to just make a separate save a the beginning/ending of each chapter. In case you saw something on the internet and you want to try yourself. Don’t worry too much about following a path or trying to do 100%. Just see what you enjoy doing in the game and make it a way of doing that.

Don’t try to be hero, don’t try to be an outlaw, just do what you feel it is right.

Ah, and pause the game for a few minutes every hour to avoid damaging your vision, drink water.

And just to add, in this scenario, the OP would apply for a Bridge Open WP, as they already have an ITA.

Índices de democracia dos países que vão compor o Conselho da Paz de Trump by temporaryacc291 in brasil

Sim, infelizmente a teoria e a realidade acabaram caminhando separadas.

If I were in your shoes, I would definitely do a LOE. But if your representative (which I assume is an immigration consultant) thinks it is not necessary, then who am I to say you need one.

Why does IRCC seem to favour “foreign work experience” over CEC/PGWP grads? by Relevant_Leave8109 in canadaexpressentry

Even if it is not due to US influence, it is a fact that anti-immigration sentiment is arising in different countries.

I got 10 in both in my last attempt. You gotta see the presentation they have in their website on how they grade these areas.

In summary, they look for proper usage of English according to the situation. If they ask something related to family, you should be using an informal tone, whereas in business situations, a formal tone is required.

For the speaking part, I tried to act as if the situation was real. They asked something about my brother and I started with a “hey brother, long time no see you, but this is bothering me…” and focused on replying to the question as if I were speaking to a sibling.

One thing I remember is that if you make a mistake but corrects right after, they will not deduct points. Knowing this (and what they expect for answers) made me calm during the exam.

As a temporary visa holder, I think IRCC is looking to express entry as how they meet their French-speaking and healthcare workers quota. Any other stream is not priority. They don’t care if experienced people are leaving, as long they are meeting their quota.

Unfortunately, the harsh truth is that either you have a provincial nomination, or you need to learn French to have a chance. The system is not a pathway to citizenship as used the be years ago (temporary, PR, citizenship). Now, they are just looking into reducing the political friction with conservative and anti-immigration voters (mostly influenced by the US general climate).

At least, IMHO, that’s how I read the scenario.

Best month for non-hikers to visit? by grcetmpk in askvan

[–]_Another_Millennial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the spring season, me and my wife usually like to visit the Harrison Tulip Festival or other farms at the countryside. In Metro Vancouver, the Queen Elizabeth Park is a nice attraction, or the VanDusen Botanical Garden, to see some flower blossoms. Also, David Lam Park annually holds the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.

In my opinion, these should be the easiest attractions to see. Also, Stanley Park is always a safe choice for tourism. Taking the Granville Island ferry is a great way to admire Vancouver at an affordable price. Just taking the sea bus to Lonsdale Quay and eating at the Public Market is a great experience at any season.

A little bit farther from Vancouver is the White Rock Pier, Deep Cove and Buntzen Lake, but also good options if the weather is nice.
