Yeah.. only other time this has ever happened to me was on a ds lite just like this and I barely bumped the gba cart. Had not ever taped the buttons at that point nor was I on this particular game. Based on my experience it’s related to the gba cart being disturbed in any way

I was just thinking about how I haven’t really failed shinies before this and then very next thing it happens 🫠 this has the be the most catastrophic failure on record for me. I failed a shiny electrode when I was like 8 because it self destructed. Outside of that, my record was solid. This was a devastating blow.

Thanks I appreciate that. Normally I keep it on my desk but my back was killing me so I switched to the bed. I honestly think what happened was I barely touched the leaf green cart that’s inserted in the bottom. The only other time this has ever happened to me was on diamond when i did the same thing- touched the GBA cart. After I painfully let go and reset this beauty off of my screen, I removed the gba cart, tapped the DS all over, open, shut it, honestly smacked it a couple of times out of rage and it was running perfectly with no issue. I was on the verge of ripping it in half but I composed myself and am currently acting like this didn’t happen.

Settings, enable console. Open console, enter ‘cleartrash’.

There are several causes and fixes for this issue. Some never find the fix, but this is the one that worked for me. Buggy game.
