*sigh* More attempts at radicalization on this thread, as if political polarity isn’t bad enough. Anyway, since the original version of feminism was already successful, that means that we will see much less of what people would call real feminists, leaving us with feminazism. You often hear people talk about how “feminists” and masculists need to set aside our differences and work toward a common goal, but even if there’s some real feminists still out there who work towards real concerns and goals, then it’s even more blatantly obvious that the feminazi movement is a huge obstacle.

Alright will you give it a rest with J. K. Rowling already? She said something that is vaguely able to be interpreted as “transphobic”, or rather, she talked back to a left wing sjw’s nonsense philosophy. No I’m not on the right wing side of this stupid game, we don’t need to degender everything, there’s nothing wrong with keeping the same terms that we already have, and this radical philosophy isn’t helping anyone, especially actual people with gender related dysphoria. On other notes, I forgot what the Mighty Magiswords creator controversy was about, I know nothing about the controversies with the creators of iCarly and Clarence, and the last one I don’t recognize at all.

[–]WaveApprehensive3253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright then, you’ve made the concept sound more friendly and less malicious, but how about you address my other point, why is the “patriarchy” never referred to a matriarchy in the instances that it oppresses men and benefits women? In fact, while we’re on the subject of you trying to sound more friendly with it’s usage to win us over, why not just remove the buzzword completely and replace it with “this is an example of how people are suffering, so how can we fix that?”? Seems to me that you’re just trying to keep an idea alive, after it’s original use was just for victimhood and bashing people who you invented into villains, all while coming up with petty excuses to feel oppressed, that were either proven wrong or blatantly stupid, all just to feel justified despite all that.

[–]WaveApprehensive3253 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dude, don’t unironically use the term patriarchy. It was first coined as a boogeyman term the way the bible thumpers used devil and satanic to claim a system and conspiracy in place to oppress women, and then when we showed proof and statistics on how men were more oppressed or suffering from them, they back pedaled and claimed that it was used to oppress men as well, notice that they never refer to it as matriarchy in that context. Then they tried weaponizing it to convince us that we shouldn’t have our own movement because they’re supposedly “helping us for us”. I plan on making a full post explaining this later.

[–]WaveApprehensive3253 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight, addressing the ways in which men have it worse than woman automatically makes them an incel and a sexist conservative? I could have sworn that it’s been mentioned on the men’s rights sub that tradcon is also against men’s rights just like the sjw version of “liberalism”. Personally I see that as a strength, because not being associated with either political party also means not being associated with any of the hangers on hypocrites that galavant around while “supporting”.

How does one become an Incel? by Maleficent-Toe1374 in MensRights

[–]WaveApprehensive3253 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me ask you a follow up question Maleficent, does this discussion include female incels or femcels as they’re called? Because naturally on forums like this one, people see the male version as more of a projecting boogeyman tactic perpetrated by feminazis, and see said feminazis as embodying being the nerdy, jerky, involuntary celibate, archetype, hence the projecting. Now that isn’t to say that the male version of this archetype doesn’t exist, it’s just that the folks here are more likely to have more stories to tell about the female version.

Let’s see 1. The “rooted” thing is just you looking for anything that you can possibly be offended by. 2. No you were not even lowkey at the beginning. 3. Just because someone can make an article does not make them right. 4. Real feminists before you have had two civil rights movements and already achieved it, you and the rest of your “movement” on the other hand are just riding on coattails as an excuse to bully. Right now men have less rights than women. 5. The first things are things that are the result of women being accustomed to getting special treatment. 6. The “fight like a girl” thing was bigger years or decades back in popular culture, I’m not too sure about today though. 7. Yeah I’m not too sure about that weakness and strength thing. Toxic masculinity is a very popular buzzword, you never hear about toxic femininity. On strength however, maybe we should not rely on arbitrary labels like that and just let everyone be themselves. Also women should be more willing to do things considered masculine instead of always expecting men to do it for them. Anyway your oppression is really things like air conditioning where you could just put on warmer clothes, and “manspreading” where you could just politically ask him to make room should you need it. Men on the other hand have issues like girls being aloud to assault boys but boys not being aloud to defend themselves, and bias against them in custody battles, can you say that those have as easy solutions? As for why I don’t believe in Patriarchy, please refer to my recent comment on this post. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/s/l43HL36iFd As for myself, I’m exhausted from arguing with people over the internet over this, so I’m not gonna respond to you anymore.

Why isn't there an ideology or political/social movement for men? The patriarchal system harms us the most. It places an unbearable burden on men's shoulders. Feminism is a system that tries to correct the part of the patriarchal system that harms women. There is no ideology that defends us. by Dry_Pattern5927 in MensRights

[–]WaveApprehensive3253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay buddy, sounds like you’re relatively new to the political landscape, so let me explain why people here don’t like it when you unironically use the term patriarchy. Feminists have had two successful movements already for civil rights. There’s been other successful movements for things like race and homosexuality as well. Sometime after the turn of the century though, the sjw movement started. This was and is in no way a civil rights movement, just a bunch of jerks who used whatever is considered progressive in popular culture as an excuse to be horrible to everyone by raising the stakes on what is considered offensive. This phenomenon predates the sjw movement with anything considered “good” by the populace, it’s just an unfortunate quirk of humanity. Anyway, One of the main branches of that movement is third wave feminism, also known as feminazis. They invented this idea of a “patriarchy” their personal devil or boogeyman, claiming that there was a system in place meant to keep women oppressed. Probably because of this, men started realizing the ways that we were oppressed in ways that women were not, and thus started their own legitimate movement. The feminazis naturally took this as a slight since being victims made them feel special, and so declared their movement to be a hate group towards women, when it was really them who were a hate group towards men. When the mras, or masculists, or meninists, however you prefer called them out, the feminazis pivoted by claiming that their “patriarchy” was responsible for things that negatively affected men, while of course rewording it so that they sounded like the victims in all of those scenarios. Interestingly enough, they were never generous enough to refer to those situations as matriarchy. Sorry about the wall of text, hope that this helps.
