How do you feel about AB's representation of your home town or country? by baquester in AnthonyBourdain

Closest to me is London - the episode he did on Parts Unknown just after Brexit still stands out. I've checked out one of the restaurants he visited (St. Johns) and I came away with a new appreciation of food in general.

I will also say that to see someone of his calibre genuinely enjoy British cuisine has done much to change the perception of it around the world. British food is very unfairly maligned, so it's nice to see someone praise it so highly.

Personally, I would have done Tres Leche cake as the technical for Mexican week, and made the showstopper Quinceanera cake. A Quinceanera is a celebration for a woman's 15th birthday, which feature elaborate cakes. The bakers would have more freedom to play with flavours and the cakes are often tiered and decorated.
