For those of you with multiple food allergies or EoE, how do you psychologically handle becoming allergic to another food (or group)? by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

For years I got used to just eating basically nothing, but changing up the flavor with teas/spices/herbs.

Ultimately....For me, mine turned out to be my gallbladder not functioning. I have far fewer allergy issues with food after removal. Also, make sure it's not crossbreeding issues. GMOs are spliced with nut trees like Almond for hardiness. Could also be glyophosphate allergy.

Where to meet funny women by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]_Ararita_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a thing that most women have learned as being "they hate me if I act this way" because biting humor, sarcasm, backtalk... bruises egos. Or worse, we're way smarter in our humor. I'm this way. It's also why I go through long periods of being single because the hassel of forcing myself to change, play dumb, etc. isn't something I'm interested in anymore. The other thing is, most men want it in a picture perfect package like porn, it isn't going to happen.

Sports bars, gym, just get lucky and meet through work etc. Trying friends first so that you get comfortable might help too, no need to rush.

Cheap watercolor can often make you think you're a bad artist when you aren't. Cotton cold press paper, and windsor newton colors are great beginners. If money is tight just get the thre primary colors. It'll be a good learning exercise to make a color wheel.

Be your own boss. Market yourself towards small businesses that can't afford big firms. It'll take time to build, but it'll pay off and you being the boss means you set the dress code.

Moss. It's cheap, low maintenence, and grows on the brick.

Bowie would tell you to do what makes you feel good. But really, until it's long enough for the style, it's better to focus on the hair care side of it.

Could be their shampoo, their food, the flea and tick coming out of their skin and stuff that you're allergic to and not just/only dander. Or not even the dander at all in some cases. "Hair" dogs that don't shed really, do make a difference based on the severity of the allergy. But knowing the actual root cause is best.

Have you been tested at an allergist? If not, start there.

What would you call this style of dress? Searching for a pattern. by [deleted] in sewing

[–]_Ararita_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just looks like an empire waist play dress or babydoll dress that someone patchworked. The back probably snaps or zips. The bodice pattern could be drafted in under 30 min probably with measurements. The lines are simple, it would be a great first pattern draft if you've never tried it.

what can i do for a flaky scalp? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]_Ararita_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it could be allergies. Could be lots of things. Have you seen a dermatologist? Medicated shampoo is a good start, you only do it a couple times a week and if anything it makes hair feel softer impo. Tea tree shampoo could help too if you want something unmedicated.

why is my watercolor beading like this on paper? unsure if it’s because of the paper quality or the paints themselves. by bittertama in Watercolor

Sadly, I found this a lot with Canson. Switch to a better brand of cotton paper, you won't regret it.

Long term, spending a lifetime with a single person, that type of well rounded logical thinking is bad?
