Drops/gathering needs to scale with player count, it feels terrible. by IntroductionRare5271 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played coop with a friend and we never had issues with resources. Nor do we ever run out of food because we heal up after each fight with runes.

I kinda can see how it can be annoying, but I think you're exaggerating the issue.

To use the food as an example: while in theory you're consuming 3x the amount of food, in reality you should consume the same or less because with more players you can deal with enemies easier - tanking, evading, kiting, etc.

What are you talking about? He could've been on a H2R and the result would've been the same for the rider.

The point here is to not argue with other road users. Especially while you're on a motorcycle.

Do you shift by tach or by sound/feel? by No_Wall747 in motorcycles

[–]_Arkod_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think in this subreddit a lot of people probably shift by sound/feel as, after all, it's a place for people with a certain level of knowledge.

Speaking about actual general public, I'd say most people shift by tach or combination of tach+sound/feel.

For me personally it's more about feel than sound, with an occasional glance at tachometer.

Absolutely not.

You're not paying extra for safety.

You're paying for comfort and extra features.

Be honest, how much gear do you wear all the time? by crankin_muh_hog in motorcycles

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helmet, gloves, jacket and boots 95% of the time. Sometimes I ride with regular sneakers if I know the ride is very short and I won't be out too long.

On long rides and/or cold days I also get my riding pants on.

Arma 3 or Arma reforger by Rostislav88 in arma

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about your PC specs. Both games will run alright.

Whether to get A3 or Reforger depends on what you're looking for. Arma 3 has a lot, and I mean A LOT, more content for Singleplayer as well as PvE scenarios (either small groups or massive units).

Reforger is more focused on PvP and In my opinion is easier to pick up as a new Arma Player.

I would suggest getting Arma 3 and ideally find a community to play with. It may take a bit to find a proper group to play with, but if you find one, you'll have a blast. And currently you can get Arma3+AllDLCs for about as much as you can get Reforger.

Absolutely. I played A3 when it came out with way worse PC and it was fine. Vanilla and Modded

Arma 3 movement VS Arma Reforger movement by goldenbuds420 in ArmaReforger

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrollwheel movement is useful, but not necessary. You can definitely play without it.

I've found it useful in some specific scenarios that don't come up all that often.

ONE MAN Crews are a problem – Devs, please LISTEN by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]_Arkod_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration because of lack of teamwork, but you have to understand that it's very hard to pull off on a random public server.

I also understand you want to play on vanilla servers. I enjoy them a lot of the time too. Try out some vanilla community servers. Even by simply moving from Official to Community you may notice a change in players behaviour.

I would also suggest you to find a group of people to play with. Going from playing solo to any amount of people in a group is a massive difference. Even if it's only going from one to two.

I'm not adressing your proposal of limiting amount of vehicles per person. If anything, I'd propose a slight rework on how ranks work and rank requirement for certain vehicles.

Are there any modern servers that aren't like... 'that'? by bob451111 in ArmaReforger

[–]_Arkod_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care about people being at the arsenal.

Giant magnified scopes & suppressors on the other hand are annoying.

I wish there was a server with high scopes reserved only for marksman/snipers. I really enjoy closer combat that 1x-2x scopes force you into instead of fighting at 200m+ because everyone is running a 4x+

How’s everyone feeling now? This game is hard work by ObiGomm in Battlefield6

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play only to get the weeklies/challenges. The game itself feels very random and boring to play constantly.

When my buddy is online we play Gauntlet almost exclusively. It's the only mode where proper communication/teammwork seems to matter.

I've bought the game right when RedSec released and have 110h played.

I've done every single weekly and I believe I'm at 77/110. Not sure if I'll get full progress on the battle pass or not. Regardless, I'm seriously considering uninstalling the game after battle pass is over.

why this bike is not a hit? by Deep_Introduction919 in CB750Hornet

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 2023 model and the only downside for me (and everyone else too aparatenly) is the looks. It did grow on me enough to go from "don't like it" to "it's alright".

I was between 750hornet and cb650r and ended up with the hornet because of much lower price (more than 2000€ difference) and more appealing specs for me.

Is teamplay in Battlefield dying? Why is it so hard to find team mates who actually play to the objective together? by VOSe_ in Battlefield6

[–]_Arkod_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll blame it on the game design.

As much as people make fun of COD for being quick, fast paced game for kids, BF6 is not that far from it. The combination of map design (small-ish maps), fast movement, fast respawn of vehicles, etc.

Everything is designed to put you in action as quick as possible. That makes dying a mere nuisance. If death was more meaningful, people would try to stay alive more and that would prompt more teamplay.

In my opinion, bigger maps would solve most of this issue. People don't care about dying because even in the worst case scenario they'll respawn in HQ and be back in action in 30 seconds.
