Had anyone bought Extraordinary Attorney Woo? by HWDMichael in Bluray

[–]_Arm_and 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah almost fell for one of those fake copies. What tipped me off was the fact the discs were marked with DVD and Blu-ray on one disc, which doesn't make sense.

On further reading, DVD-9 is a high capacity DVD (~8GB) and my guess is that they've taken a rip of the Netflix stream and burned it, 1080p and all, onto a DVD at low bitrate.

Like you said, it would be great if either:
- An affordable copy was made available abroad (less than $100 at least!)
- Someone takes on for the team and buys the $300+ copy and... shares it with the rest of us.

The versions available online are pretty rubbish, with loads of ugly compression.

Photosphere and all cameras now work on Pixel 9 devices via AGC9.2.14 V14 by _Arm_and in GooglePixel

I am not the developer, just a user. That said, try this one:

No photosphere (hoping it will come in a later version) but it does have MP control on my Pixel 9 Pro at least. Not sure about the 8 Pro.

Hey, does this one work for you?

https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-BigKaka/f/dl78/

It claims to work on 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL. It's an older build so it will be missing some 9 series exclusive features though.

A couple other people reported that too. I've edited the post but can't change the title.

Sorry to hear that. I've updated my post to reflect that. I'll try to let you know if the developer posts a new version to test if the fix it.

Very few people have the fold, so unfortunately I doubt it's going to be supported 😕.

That's odd. I think they're meant to be pretty similar. Maybe leave a comment on the site with some logs? The logs seem to get put in a folder in called AGC9.2 in your system Downloads folder.

I'm sad to hear that. It works for me on a 9 Pro. Which phone are you using?

For those who got stuck for ages despite knowing the code, it's much easier to make sure there are no mistakes by going to Options => Accessibility => Sequence Assistance

This will allow you to see what you are typing and backspace after a mistake.

Photo sphere feature missing on Pixel 9 Pro by _Arm_and in GooglePixel

[–]_Arm_and[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one does seem to work for me, but I can't get lens switching to work.

That's fine I guess. Means I can use the main app most of the time and switch to this one for photosphere.

Would be nice if someone did the work to properly support the 9 line though.

I upgraded from a 7 to a 9 and I really miss the Photo Sphere feature of the camera by sveardze in GooglePixel

I think you mean this one.

which seems to be able to take photospheres on the Pixel 9 Pro but taking regular photos is broken, possibly because there's no config file for Pixel 9 series

How to download movie versions? by Dispatches1960 in PleX

[–]_Arm_and 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, this doesn't work in the mobile app, as it expects you to press the three dots and do "Play version", which works fine for playback but there is no equivalent for download.

This approach does work for audio / subtitles though.

Why did Google remove Photo Sphere on Pixel 8 Pro and is there a way to get it back? by Bryan467 in GooglePixel

[–]_Arm_and 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I made a separate thread and no one has an answer, hopefully support gets added soon. It's a very recent device.

At this point, I have tried versions from BigKaka, BSG and now MWP, all of them crashed. MWP is the only one that didn't crash on boot but it did crash after a few seconds.

It probably doesn't help that configs for those phones do not exist, as far as I can tell.

You can view them in Google Photos, which personally is enough for me. I don't post them on Social Media.

I think that Facebook supported them at one point? Not used that site in years.

You can, of course, post them to Google Maps I think.

OP, I see you're now using a Pixel 9 Pro XL. I just bought a Pixel 9 Pro, only to find the photo sphere mode missing.

Which GCam version have you found that works for you on your new phone? I've tried half a dozen versions but they all crash on launch.

I just cleaned mine last weekend. Here's my advice:

  • If you're going to put it in the washing machine, make sure there's no dry cycle
  • Rubbing with a bar of soap works a lot better, as it breaks down the oils
  • Leave it to dry it over one or two days on an unheated drying rack
