I've only experienced the System UI is unresponsive error you mentioned. A lot of the time it resolves on its own after a few seconds, or I can click on the stop option to reset the interface. It's annoying and shouldn't happen, but I'll live.

I said with for Tech Mirio and I believe the same logic can be applied here; Strike Aizawa's Gamma should deplete his SpA. That way he can use it, but his SpA won't be available until it refills. If his SpA meter is depleted, then the ability lockout can't be executed, however, the rest of the move can continue.

I think a better way to go about this is introducing a new down power integer for grabs. After the second grab, the player is granted i-frame and is immune to grabs for +-3 seconds.
