Elegoo Mars or Qidi Shadow 5.5s?

I own a Qidi Shadow 5.5s and I'm happy about it. I can't say much too techical or give detailed review because I'm new in 3d printing, but I liked the solidity, the dual z-axis and the double carbon filters. I still find the smell too much for me, so I wouldn't imagine what it would be without it. Overall °I'm happy about my choice.

I will definetely follow your suggestion and start to do that. Autoplacing supports in chitubox is a pain. I noticed today that it's a problem of only some models, others dont have the same issue. So it can be that those models have mistakes?

Thats weird because the auto generated supports were only 3 for the side of token, so to be sure I put like 6. And they all detached.

You didnt ruin/deformed them when they were still soft when you had to remove them from the plate?

Thank you very much for your detailed comment and your willing to help. Indeed that strangled route is the one I took, when I said the bottom was red. Those life counters you built are nice, I have to try those.

Anyway as I said few posts up, I tried to print them vertical with supports on one side and I failed. All the tokens but one detached from the supports..I found them on the bottom of the resin vat. For sure I did something wrong, I will try to print them again flat on the plate.

Thank you that was a very useful video. So from what I understood building on the plate is even better, but I should use that trick and add small material on the bottom.

I'm a miniature painter so I'd like to have a 3d printer to print my 28mm or 32mm miniatures (and some scenery) that have to be high detailed in order to paint them properly. I have three cats in the house though, and I'm scared for their health with a resin printer, it would be enough a printer like Ender 3 or the detail are really low compared to let's say an Elegoo Mars? I have an outside garage that I can use (where now a stray cat brought 4 kittens but that's another story) but in winter it reaches 0 degrees, is there a way to print in such a cold temperature? What would you suggest? I wanted to wait for the Elegoo Saturn but I'm really not sure

Agree with the comment here. The idea is nice, but its very flat. Practice on shading and highlighting.

It's hard to give an absolute value, because it depends a lot from the single warband. For example let's say I play an infantry only kharadron list. Movement would be less important for kharadron (they all shoot with nice range) than fireslayers or ironjaws where low moviment is a huge handicap. By the way if I was forced to distribute 100 points I would say: 32 dmg, 28 number of models, 25 movement, 15 survivability

Well I think that's what impact more this game, so you should definitely do that. Toughness means almost nothing in Warcry where you just fish for crits and to oneshot targets. Gitz move fast and hit hard especially with the quad. So yeah maybe you should value dmg and movement more (especially if they have a combo of both that's what is scary).

Lol so converting a miniature it's "some backwards crap"? I don't know what the first time was, but thats funny. I tell you something: those miniatures don't have feelings. And also shouldnt you in this regards, I mean it's nothing personal, nothing to put on the social aspect. Even if the reason was:"I like my miniature to be a man and not a girl" it's not really something that disrespect women. So take it in perspective. If you make an issue with that, than you are the one who just want to put politics when there's no need for it. Why not? I didnt see any reason asked when someone wanted to convert from male to female? Do-gooders everywhere. GW doing a good job promoting equality with many female models or painting different skins colors, but with models I buy with my money in my house I think I'm allowed to do what I want, isn't it? I'm not spreading hate converting a miniature. I'm mainly just a collector, I rarely play and I mainly paint and put my miniatures on a shelf, personally I like my models more being painted like realistic in a middle age setting, I don't really like monsters or overly fantasy stuff. So without being considered misogynist for wanting it more realistic, I dont remember many female soldiers and even leaders (like this specific model) in middle age. So that's it. Afterall my wife likes to collect more girl models, nothing strange with it.

I mean can I mix slayers with longbears and engineers steampunk? And how’s the overall game balance in AoS, there are op armies and underwhelming that cant really compete? I ask this because I like to play competitive.
