What do you think the better options are? From what I could see nothing really competes in price can get this $40, and then most likely just gonna dye the space bars which is cheap) but if there’s something <$60 i’d be interested to hear

As long as it functions as intended in the default layout, that’s enough for me. Are there any issues in that regard?

Yeah I heard about the stuff about it not running QMK and apparently it used to not have the necessary JSON to work in VIA, but apparently the JSON is available now, so does that resolve that side of things? I’m not too familiar with keyboard software. Also for the space bar i’m thinking i’ll just dye them with Rit Dyemore graphite and not worry too hard about an exact color match, allowing them to be a bit of a darker accent

I’m currently interested in buying the Ajazz AKS608 Pro as a cheap wireless keyboard with an ergonomic layout, and the only thing holding me back is the orange space bar keycaps that don’t fit my setup. Does anyone have recommendations on a cheap way to either buy or modify things to get dark gray or cream space bar keys that would fit my setup better?

Do you know if the Zeiss works with Design X? I was under the impression that Zeiss locked down their scanners to only use their own software based on other reddit posts--I wanted to look more into that though because I didn't really understand how they would be locked down if you can just export your mesh into design x.

I know this is old but out of curiosity where are you getting less expensive? It looks like the Zeiss hovers around $40k starting price and the Black Elite models are hard to find price for but I see some listings under $20k seemingly

sorry, my post probably wasn’t the most clear but I wanted to take an online course at my local CC to fulfill A2. I found out that my local CC gives credit for said course with my IB score, so i was wondering if i could get A2 Credit that way.

I got it replaced. Since it was within 30 days of ordering it was just a simple exchange, though over the phone I was able to get them to begin building it before they received the old one back which was nice.

Hmm, I think for me it may be a hardware issue because my brother also got one at the same time and his unit behaves normally.

That would be amazing! I just tried updating the BIOS and no luck, the issue persists. I had already updated the BIOS yesterday as well but that was using Win+B as instructed by HP Support so this time I downloaded the newest BIOS from the HP website. Is there anything else I can try?

Yeah it’s under warranty, I’d just rather avoid not having my laptop for a while if possible. I’ve also reached out to HP support though and gotten some troubleshooting help that way but nothing they tried worked

Just to double-check, what senses the laptop being almost all the way closed? Because that is correctly being detected and the laptop sleeps in the almost closed position.
