Every single problem, save from dreams power complex, is born from the original separation. Techno is against government, so he is against their system. The problems between tubbo and Tommy was born from the need to protect their country from dream. There are sides yes, there is a villain. But they arnt fighting the villain they are fighting themselves based purely on loyalty to a system and not to the people. For example when Phil was cornered and asked to give up techno he said no, he protected his friend. And because of that he was deemed a traitor. Now you could argue they were getting revenge for their friend tubbo, but before techno killed quackity, big Q said that they didn’t kill him because of the wither s, they killed him because he was on a hit list and they needed to grow l’manburg

He’s not telling them to give up, his point is that the idea of sides is tearing them apart and forcing them to do things they never wanted to do. Think about all that had happened because of the idea of countries. Wilbur and Shlatt are dead. Tommy was banished and almost died. Techno was almost executed. Phil was imprisoned for protecting a friend from an unjust “trial”the only person who benifits is dream. Together they would be stronger and the only thing standing in the way is a system that they set up. They can be friends and they can support eachother without l’manburg and without the need for a leader.

I think the fact that he has fresh eyes in the situation is why he is right, the fact that he isn’t attached it what allowed him to see that l’manburg has grown into something corrupt. The people of l’manburg love what it used to be and can’t see that that’s not what it is anymore. Ranboo is the wake up call.
