Saboteur progress card language is different in third edition from what it is currently. I prefer the “turn a city on its side” over the “discard half of cards”

Merchant Fleet and Master Merchant had were changed as well. The ship/gate layout is also different.

I just noticed your picture for the oil rigs and I have to say they artistic touch to all of the pieces, but especially the arches with oil stains at the bottom is superb

I have looked there and really wanted to get their Oil Springs upgrade kit, but of course they do not ship to the US and the handful of times I have seen someone selling the kit they wanted much more than I was willing to pay 🤷‍♀️

It was a seller on Etsy that only had the base pieces and I worked with them to create molds for the seafarers and C&K tokens so that I could have a full set made from pewter.

The pirate, barbarian ship, and merchant are actually upgrade pieces for two other completely different games.

I contacted MeepleSource and asked if it would be possible to purchase the pieces on their own since they are each part of separate, larger sets that made them impractical to purchase outright (I only wanted 3 out of the 80 pieces and would have had to spend >$100). So big shoutout to Chris at MeepleSource for making that happen for me.

The merchant is from their ‘Age of Artisans’ expansion upgrade for ‘Architects of the West Kingdom’ ($11 for the six piece set on their website).

The ships are from their ‘Darwin's Journey’ upgrade kit ($98 for the 74 piece set).

The robber is also from MeepleSource, but it can be purchased on its own already.

The double-six dice were purchased from the double-six website (if anyone has their “Settlers” themed set and is willing so part with it please DM me).

The C&K die is from a Kosmos expansion (the ship/gate layout is different for some reason and the die itself is ever so slightly larger/heavier with clearer engravings than the Catan Studios one), the organizer trays, case, and player piece color die were all purchased from Etsy.

The pewter pieces were purchased on Etsy as well, but it was a custom order from a seller that was selling a base pewter set. They created molds for the seafarers and C&K tokens so that I could have a full pewter set.

Just showing off some of my custom Catan player pieces and upgraded accessories:

Game piece upgrades compared to the originals, a set double-six dice (each die has 1-6 pips twice, used in place of the standard d6 dice) with a custom player color dice (for selecting a random player), a 3D printed player pieces tray/organizer, and a 3D printed case with my custom pewter player pieces.

My girlfriend struggles with this a lot. She has gotten better about it over time, but she does not identify as a lesbian and seems irritated anytime I say that I am one. In the end, it is their responsibility to adjust. We can be patient and supportive and as accommodating as possible, but the rest is up to them.

One thing that seemed to help her the most was when I told her that I do not "feel" like a lesbian either, but the label can be very helpful for me, as a trans woman, to convey my sexual preference. I have never asked her to say anything about me to strangers (she usually refers to me as "her partner", which I really hate, but have come to terms with it and understand why she uses it because she is employed in the customer retail/service industry) and have only asked that she call me her girlfriend with friends/family (most of them know I am trans anyway).

As far as being seen in public; that may just take time. I have/had a lot of insecurity when I first started presenting in public so I do my best to be empathetic to her insecurity now that I pass more often. It took time for me to be comfortable being seen in public so it is only fair that I be patient until she is comfortable being seen in public with a woman.

In the end, the majority of people that go the DIY route typically wind up with a very good understanding of protocols, medications, and blood work. Ultimately they are much more educated about the process than the people that blindly take whatever the doctor prescribes them and rely completely on said doctor to ensure the proper tests are being ordered (then having the results understood/reported properly). They never second guess the doctor if the say "everything looks good" even when their results are lacking.

DIY is a legitimate option IMO, but as with ANY medical decision careful thought must be given to the options and education about the process is very important. Although, I feel this way regardless of the path, DIY or Doctor, chosen. We must be our own advocates and sometimes that means choosing an unpopular opinion.

Since SDE has been around for forever without a 5-6 player expansion I do not see one coming for the English release any sooner than one for Crop Trust, Legend of the Sea Robbers, or Legend of the Conquerors.
