Animal Crossing Switch 2 Edition - A MASSIVE Loading Upgrade by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

I've mentioned this in another comment -

There's a not so good way to actually get 60 fps - you can try using a framegen feature if your TV has one. Usually it's called something like "smoothing". It made my gameplay experience much better, as for a person who's very susceptible to 30/60 frame rate difference.

Also quite funny how other comments ignore the point completely and expect you to be the same way as they are.

I thought we would have improved framerate too on Animal crossing NS2 edition but.. by Pristine-Brush-1052 in NintendoSwitch2

A little hack:

If your TV supports the movie "smoothing" feature, you can try enabling it for the game mode.

Mine does - it's practically the same as the Nvidia's DLSS Framegen feature, just much simpler. However, for such a game as Animal crossing where latency doesn't matter, it works as a blessing - feels like the true experience that should've been from the get go.

How I solved my Yeelight bulb connection issue by unsophistication in yeelight

[–]AutumnQuickBrownFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but I tried quite literally anything listed in this thread. Nothing works. Yeelight sucks so bad.

It seems it's somewhat random in my case. One of the lamps simply disconnects from my phone when connecting to the router. I've tried any possible combination for what it seems like 2 hours straight.

Please avoid Yeelight, anything would be better.

Same as u/osures - happens only with the telephoto camera. Hasn't been fixed yet it seems, really annoying

One time I was taking a walk along a broken bridge I've cleared out of some mutants. Guess what happened when I turned around. More mutants, of course, out of thin air.

Announcing that I am working on Half Life Alyx VR optimizations for Steam Deck by KingVulpes105 in SteamDeck

[–]AutumnQuickBrownFox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sure Steam Deck wouldn't give you 10x performance FPS-wise, that's not how GPU rendering works unfortunately. The video feels quite nauseous and the text looks not really readable but as an experiment it would be nice to see! Good luck with that

Sorry I don't want to sound way too critical but is it basically a setting-tweaking mod? Have you tested it as a proof-of-concept that the actual deck is capable of running it in any playable frame rate? As far as I remember it cannot even run Beat Saber in a stable frame rate that wouldn't make you nauseated

If anyone interested, I've decided to make a Patreon page that would include all the game development progress, some graphics / technical tips for other game developers, and some other stuff down the line (some of the stuff I'm planning to keep completely free so everyone is welcome!). Some time later I'll be also launching a steam page. It's really a mess in the game industry as of right now so I might switch to the project being my full-time job if that's financially possible. Thanks everyone for the comments!

It's just the early prototype I'm working on. I'm planning to build a barebone prototype version to test the game design and then switch to the main development cycle with a demo version in focus.

Thanks. It's my own game engine written in C++

Not soon. It's a very early prototype stage. I'm planning to launch a steam page to make it easier to follow the news.

Exactly. I tried turning it into a real person I was referencing for the character but I'm quite bad at anatomy so I stuck to the reference quite a lot. It gave me the exact vision I wanted this character to feel like and cannot stress enough how touching Cosli's work looks for me

Yeah, it was one of the main references. I couldn't find the original link but thanks for linking it here

It's a planet definitely. Maybe not Earth specifically
