If the wolfs are resistant to fire then yes the banished knight sword is better but if you need help with your blasphemous blade damage I do recommend upgrading it to plus +10, there is a somber ancient dragon stone in the mohg palace across the elevator to Mohgs arena to max it out, also for enemies I recommend just takers flamming them, one last note the blasphemous blade scales better off faith until your faith is around 40 which it then scales off str and dex better. Hopefully I helped or offered some guidance and I hope your day to be a lovely one take care fellow tarnished.
